Wife and I moved to Presbyterian Village-Austell over two years ago and we love it. The Wellness Center offers 25 different classes every week. We look forward to the Beginners Balance, Tai Chi, Beginners Strength and Chair Yoga classes. Also, we walk on the paved walking path around the lake, every day. I especially need the balance classes because I had a detached retina a while back. Also, the meals and dining are award winning and delicious. The chef is outstanding. Presbyterian Village is very friendly. We see smiles and receive greetings wherever we go. There are many activities led by professionals. Many committees to be a part of or rocking chairs to enjoy as people come by and speak. Couldn't have chosen a better place and I'm from NC

For years, I lived at a "for profir" senior living facility. I had a beautiful new home with 3BR, a fireplace etc. The resident director was only interested in making money so almost everything had an added cost. The residents were "clickish" and not friendly. Food was very expensive. Because the costs kept increasing, I decided to move to Presbyterian Village which is a much older facility so not as " classy,' but much much more pleasant. The residents are happy, friendly, and invloved in many activites. The staff is fantastic. If you want a place to "belong", Presbyterian Village is it.

My husbands dementia was escalating when we moved into our beautiful cluster home at PV. soon [name removed] needed to move into the memory care facility where he found a life-giving home. When he suffered a life-threatening illness, he was transferred to skilled nursing. All the while, I was able to be with him - our house is an easy 3 minutes away. There has been love and acre at every stage.

I have been a resident of Presbyterian Village of Austell for about 5 years, living in an Independent cottage, and absolutely love being here. My cottage is wonderful, very livable and beautiful, and my neighbors are fabulous! The food here is delicious, the activities abundant and interesting, and the staff is lovely- competent and caring.

Wife [name removed] and I moved to Presbyterian Village-Austell into independent living nearly two years ago from Panama City Beach, Florida. This is the best move we have ever made. Staff are professional, kind and caring. The 150 independent living residents have respect and kindness for each other. Meals are outstanding. Salmon is always on the menu. Activities are available and walking around the 60 acres is is breathtaking. Oil paintings are on the walls are professionally done. We love Presbyterian Village - Austell.

Not happy about moving to PV-had to sell my lovely house, recover from broken hip, knew only two people here. What a joy to find 48 apartment neighbors. 45 house dwelling neighbors eager to be new friends from the get go! Beautiful campus, terrific meals, numerous varied activities. Wouldn't go back for anything.

In my 13+ years of life in the Village, I have enjoyed friendships with other residents who have enriched campus life by sharing their talents : attorneys, nurses, missionaries, physicians, conservationist, all. We respect difference and learn from each other, when our struggles, we aid. We continue to grow as we (earned struggled) finding joy that, for me, would not have been possible in another senior community.

We were accompanied by a wonderful person on tours of several homes, which were all very well kept and attractive. We were impressed by the time the employee spent, answering all of our questions, and trying to locate a property that meets our needs. All of the employees and residents were very friendly, and we look forward to moving there.

Although I didn't ever plan to move to a retirement village, my husband did! After visiting several CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Communities), we discovered Presbyterian Village of Austell where we discovered freestanding 'cottages' for both of us. Presbyterian Village has become a true refuge, a nest, a nurturing little piece of heaven for these later chapters of life.

As we entered the campus we knew this place was different. From meeting with the Marketing Director to meeting residents and touring accommodations our first impression was solidified. And now having resided here just over a year- Presbyterian Village at Austell was the right choice.

We moved to a newly renovated, spacious home in March. It was wonderful to watch spring arrive to the beautiful wooded area and walk the rails surrounding our campus. The staff is there when you need them. What pleases us most is the welcoming, caring community feeling.

Why five stars when we are not new and glitzy! No big fancy lobby with glittering chandelier! No harp or soft music in our dining room! No " My house is bigger than yours" and No " Nickel and Dime" us for every little thing! What do I have? Staff and fellow residents who provide a warm, caring, respectful, safe and inclusive environment. Peace, privacy and quiet when I want to walk along our trails. Super activities, programs, events that engage and energize me. Our mature village is designated as a wildlife sanctuary with-- birds, deer, raccoons, opossum, turkeys, coyotes and oh yes geese! The very essence of our village is a warmth that is so much different than " New and glitzy". Was it the decision for me?-- ABSOLUTELY.
