A great place to live

Presbyterian Village Austell is an open and welcoming community with many special features, some not found in other, similar organizations. New villages quickly find that outreach happens quickly and nobody remains a stranger for long. Residents find that neighborhood groups form for special dinners in the main dining room and bonds form quickly. The dining experience is second to none. Special holiday, birthday and anniversary banquets happen frequently to the delight of all who attend. Additionally, road trips to concerts at Emory University or special outings to movies or restaurants keep everyone involved and happy. Great place to Live

Great place for a widow with no children. Do have good nieces and nephews and friends available if needed. My hopes are that I won't need them since I came to this Village for my comfort. As of now, I feel I made a great decision

The Best Community I Have Lived In

As a longtime resident of the Buckhead section of Atlanta, I was not sure I wanted to retire to a community outside of my old neighborhood. But I wanted a continuing care community, and I liked what I could see of Presbyterian Village Austell. The cottages and apartments are set on a spacious 80-acre campus with a lake and a forest of trees. Nature trails run along the two creeks on the grounds. In addition to the native forest, nearly 100 memorial trees have been planted over the 37-year history of the Village. So I moved here, only to discover what I now appreciate even more than the peaceful, natural ambiance of the setting: my fellow residents and the wonderful staff, whose attitude and care is exceptional. Plus, the food served here is really superb! My only regret is that I did not move here sooner!

A wonderful choice for us

Once we experienced the wonderful community feeling that we felt at Presbyterian Village - the residents, staff and everyone - it was clear to us this was the retirement community where we wanted to live. Having lived 10 hours away from our sons, daughter-in-laws and grandsons, we wanted to live closer to where they are in the greater Atlanta metro area. Atlanta traffic was something we really dislike, but Presbyterian Village offers a wonderful, peaceful l, secure campus, with many facilities and activities included. Having a faith-based community was important for us, and there is a truly gifted and caring chaplain on staff. The meals and dining room staff are wonderful! Plus we now can give up stairs! Hooray!

Extremely friendly and caring people and staff.

My husband and I moved to Atlanta 2yrs. Ago . From Indiana where we had been for 52 yrs. A difficult move but we felt so welcomed and made new friends immediately. We enjoy the dining and activities. Many opportunities to travel off campus and experience new things. The staff is top notch and very caring. We feel so blessed to be at Presbyterian Village.

Beautiful Environment Enhances my “Wellness”

The newly renovated Health Services Center Lobby is beautiful. So relaxing and comforting, as soon as a person comes through the front door. Also, the receptionist is friendly and professional. The television has soft music and great pictures. My “Wellness Indicator” improves immediately. I sometimes sit down in the reception area and contemplate how my husband and I are bless to be living at Presbyterian Village (PV). Staff are professional and residents are friendly and care for each other. Family is the word I think of. We love PV located in Cobb county, Georgia.

We moved into a Cluster home in Presbyterian Village Austell on [date removed]. Our time here has been filled with new friendships, multiple activities, group and individual exercise. It’s your choice on how active you want to be. You can dine alone or with a group of friends. The food has been excellent and we were awarded a “Best of Moms” award for dining. The staff are great. The campus a delight. As a wildlife sanctuary with woodland trails outdoor walks and hikes can be as easy or difficult as you make them. Our planned renovations and expansions will make PV at Austell an even better gem!

The best of the best

Having moved here about a year ago, I knew from the start that I had made the right decision. What a welcoming community of like minded, intelligent and energetic people I found myself surrounded by. Friendliness doesn't begin to capture the feeling I immediately got. I live on a lovely tree-lined street that reminds me of places I've lived before. On my street are some of the most wonderful neighbors one would ever hope for. It's not uncommon to get a knock on the door with a neighbor bringing over a small gift, possibly some fresh baked muffins of just stopping by to say hello. My home is just what I needed: all on one level; three beautiful bedrooms; a large accomodating living room; a completely new, beautiful kitchen with every appliance a person would ever want. What's not to love! For anything needed, from repairs, to transportation, to landscaping, and tons of social activities, it's all here at Presbyterian Village. Yes, I made the right decision. Onward to great living!

Wellness classes and activities to keep us physically active

Wife and I love Presbyterian Village-Austell, especially the wellness activities that are offered. Every week there are 27 different wellness activities to keep us in shape and mentally alert, from Chair Yoga and Balance classes to Brain Fitness classes. In addition, every independent living resident qualifies for a 1-hour personal training class every week. If walking around the pond and village green is your pleasure, Presbyterian Village has a 1-mile paved track around our 60 acre campus. If socialization is your pleasure, card games from Bridge to Hand and Foot are offered, plus excellent dining with other residents. Also, every Friday Presbyterian Village has a bus to carry us on excursions, from Braves baseball to Emory University concerts.

Presbyterian Village review

My Mom feels so welcome and loves the facility & staff. She is very involved in all the activities and committees and going to church there I would highly recommend it. She feels safe and has made a lot of friends. The grounds are beautiful with a pond & geese. She is even doing yoga. They go off the property for fun outings. She has a housekeeper and the dining room is very good, breakfast especially.

Wellness classes and excellent dining

Wife and I moved to Presbyterian Village-Austell over two years ago and we love it. The Wellness Center offers 25 different classes every week. We look forward to the Beginners Balance, Tai Chi, Beginners Strength and Chair Yoga classes. Also, we walk on the paved walking path around the lake, every day. I especially need the balance classes because I had a detached retina a while back. Also, the meals and dining are award winning and delicious. The chef is outstanding. Residents are kind, happy and loving.

Wonderful

For years, I lived at a "for profir" senior living facility. I had a beautiful new home with 3BR, a fireplace etc. The resident director was only interested in making money so almost everything had an added cost. The residents were "clickish" and not friendly. Food was very expensive. Because the costs kept increasing, I decided to move to Presbyterian Village which is a much older facility so not as " classy,' but much much more pleasant. The residents are happy, friendly, and invloved in many activites. The staff is fantastic. If you want a place to "belong", Presbyterian Village is it.
