Trustwell Living at Rock Run Place Memory Care

The main nursing staff is very good here. I know they've had changes with the management but the primary nurses are very good. However, they need to work on staffing over the weekends with nursing assistants. It's obvious there aren't enough staff. Also, they need to hire persons to wash and put away resident clothes... not put that on the CNA's. The cubicles in her closet are always a mess. Clothing everywhere, missing socks, other residents clothing, sheets etc. in her closet... just a hot mess.

The one thing I wish I knew before selecting a place for mom is if the facility supplied furniture (bed, chair, television, etc). The staff was excellent I helping get mom settled once I got her furniture set-up. Even though mom only stayed for 5 weeks she really enjoyed her short stay there. I was satisfied with the services provided by Rock Run Place Memory Center.

I would tell a friend, not to go to rock run and send them somewhere else. The place is dirty and too much change of personal and no one in mgmt cares about anything. This place is no different than a nursing home .

Overall, we had a very positive experience from the very beginning of information gathering and explanation of services, etc. during her stay she was very well cared for she was comfortable. Their visitation was great and the nursing staff was always very nice and helpful. The problem came upon her exit at the beginning I made them aware that this was a spend down situation so we would essentially keep her there until she ran out of money and then we would look at next level of care. They assured me that they would assist and told me since they know her situation, the best that they would be able to point us in the right direction for the next level of care. That never happened, they wanted 30 days notice I gave them 60 days. I was waiting for them to help me start making phone calls and trying to get her placed . I actually had to bring her back home because the Director said to me and I quote well what are you going to do if you can't get her in anywhere? I said I hadn't even thought that was a possibility and she said oh no we've had to have people take their loved ones to hotels. She made one phone call on my behalf and that was it. So that was extremely disappointing and put my family in a really bad situation.

It's been a good experience. Great nursing staff. Activities have been wonderful for Mom. The room is spacious, and the interior outdoor patio is wonderful for my Mother on nice days.

One reason our loved one is still at the facility is because of [name removed] who is the sales rep - we found her to be so lovely, and so caring towards our loved one. She has done an awesome job and we wish they had more staff like her. We would recommend this community to other family's if the following improvements are made. They need to improve on their friendliness towards family's as well as their follow up and communication. The cleanliness could be better and the food is terrible.

I really like how open and available the staff are. They offer plenty of activities. Housekeeping could be a little better in the rooms. Clothes disappear in the laundry and 2 pair of my mom's glasses have disappeared. Otherwise, staff is superb.

Even during the pandemic the staff members encouraged families to come and visit. They built an enclosed glass patio so the families and residents could visit while still being safe which we really appreciated that. Sometimes our loved one complains about the meals, but she is picky so we have to take that with a grain of salt. All in all the meals are good. They do have activities and when our loved one needs to go back to a community we will look no further. Rock Run was a great place for our loved one.

They are very caring towards the residents. My loved one is happy here. I approve of the community, and I believe you would as well. They have some creative activities available for the residents to participate in.

I would recommend you go somewhere else. We are getting ready to move my loved one out of the community. The community doesn't uphold their promises. There have been times our family have heard the caregivers yelling at the residents.

Facility is essentially unstaffed during the evening and overnight hours. The main number is almost always unanswered, as it switches from location to location. Excuses are the norm when you can reach someone during the day. Some staff is caring but many functions appear to be understaffed.

I would say not to go there or place your loved one in the memory care area. The staff were easy to work with. It seemed my concerns were never resolved. They did have activities for residents to choose from.

All the employees have made this a very comforting experience for our parents. Very personable and friendly while communicating with the residence.

Staff are always positive and pleasant. My mother is well taken care of. The staff are always willing to take the time to discuss her health and care.

It is a good place. You do have to stay on top of the staff to make sure your loved one's daily living activities are being met. The staff didn't shave my loved one and I hardly recognized them when I visited for the first time. The supervisor was able to take care of this immediately for me that day.

The community is lovely and very nice, and very modern. The cost is high and there are extra fees for additional care or services needed. I would definitely recommend this community to others

I would recommend this community for your loved one. The activities director goes above and beyond. We used to have window visits; however it is too cold and we can't go in to see our loved one. I'm very thankful they have lots of activities and have kept the family involved.

This community jumps through hoops to make everyone happy, even though covid they are amazing. The room sizes are great with their own closets and bathrooms. The food, according to my mom is really good and she likes it. I have already recommended this community

Our father lives at Rock Run - MC. He is happy and healthy. The staff treats him like family and he seems very comfortable with them. Before COVID my family visited often and we were very impressed by the kindness shown to our father.
