The Radcliff

First, I want to thank [name removed] from A Place For Mom, she really helped me when we started trying to figure out how to handle my Mom's gradual memory changes. She was my go-to for questions that had to be asked. Now, we just settled my mom into The Radcliff of Wood Dale. Wow! We are so happy with our choice. This place is absolutely beautiful to see. It has such a pretty and welcoming atmosphere when you walk in. The staff we dealt with were also incredible. From [name removed] at the front desk, onto [name removed] who showed us all the amenities and talked the business end to us, to the movers ([name removed]) who are part of the team and move Mom for free...we have met only nice people. They only want to help. The owner, [name removed] is such a happy and friendly guy, they all just make this place seem too good to be true. The food is fantastic. My mom was very worried about the move, but they impressed her on her first day with the meals and the snacks! We also are so relaxed because they have [name removed], a personal "guide", who is my mom's partner while she learns her way around this beautiful center. My family is now looking forward to when this understandably needed lock down ends, and we can be Mom's "guest" for lunch there! The Radcliff treats any meal companions to a meal with the resident! I told Mom that she can "treat" us when we visit her! Another perk we are excited about is that the staff will take a grocery list from mom, some cash , and then shop so she can stock anything she wants for her kitchenette in her room! We can't say enough about how impressed we are with the entire staff that we have dealt with to date. We are looking forward to the great treatment that we know Mom will get from the Radcliff staff! (And one more thing...your rent in all inclusive, no move in, laundry, parking, extra fees. And all with no yearly contract) Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you need a great place for a parent.

They were good to work with in getting my mom moved into the community. My mom likes the food. The staff is good at communicating with the family. I live out of state and it and have not been able to visit since Covid.

The room sizes and the layout of the community are very nice. The food is okay. They have very limited outdoor space for residents to use. The staff is wonderful could not be better. We have had a positive experience.

Overall I was very pleased. I have referred a friend to A Place for Mom and The Radcliff. it is a new community very clean, the staff was great. The food was great. The room sizes were good, we had a studio that was plenty of room. The needed to improve security at the front door and they did that while we were there.

The food at The Radcliff was excellent and a key point of the community. The owner is also great. He has a big heart and goes above and beyond for the residents and staff. The community was always clean and the staff was always welcoming and friendly. As visitors, we always very accommodated for. This community is a great value for the high level of care and quality of the community. The staff is also a huge part of that. There were lots of activities for residents to participate in and the staff was always active in getting residents involved. The first couple of days at the community were a little difficult for my mom, but because of the great level of care, it was smooth sailing shortly thereafter.

We just moved our parents into Radcliff this week (dad to AL, mom to MC) after a 2 year stint in Bridgeway of Bensenville which went down the tubes and became a complete nightmare with new ownership and disastrous/incompetent management. This has been one of the most stressful, trying times in our lives, and if it weren't for the incredibly caring, kind and agile staff at Radcliff, we'd be lost. They have gone so far above and beyond anything we could imagine in helping us get set up, moved in, and comfortable. [Name removed] has been a saint in helping us coordinate admission and logistics, manage multiple changes, and stay sane. The CNAs are wonderful. The RNs are responsive and collaborative. The facility staff is caring and engaging. Of course the facility is beautiful and new and well appointed, but most of all, we are so reassured that we've selected the right place because of the PEOPLE. To the management, take care of your staff and continue to foster the caring and responsive/accountable culture you're creating - they're doing an amazing job and they are your biggest asset!!

I can't tell you how much we feel so blessed to have found The Radcliff for our precious mother! The staff are amazing!! They were there to help us through the move ...anything we needed help with. But the thing that really impressed me was when we were in our search for a place for mom...we toured 5 other places...this was the only place that the actual residents WITHOUT ANY PROMPTING would come up to mom and myself and share how much they loved the place. Everyone THE RESIDENTS had smiles on their faces You can't fake that! The residents were joking around There was laughter!!! There was JOY! Love Love Love The Radcliff and all the wonderful people who work there.

The staff has been amazing, the facilites are spotless. My mom trnasferred from a different facility and there has been tremendous improvement.

Everyone here are the nicest people I’ve ever met. They are friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The facility is beautiful, luxurious, spacious and clean. The food and wait staff are top notch. I’m not sure how to improve on perfection. I’ll have to give it some thought. PS. My Dad likes it here!

My Dad moved in on [date removed]. The staff at The Radcliff has made his transition easy and enjoyable. From free assistance with moving in, to [name removed] working to assist with Medicaid and VA benefits, the staff has been very helpful and accommodating. The owner [name removed] is fantastic and really cares about the residents. Everyone makes you feel like family. Rooms are large. Food is great. Place is spotless and very comfortable. Come take a test drive. You won’t be sorry

The staff has been fantastic! From move in and dealing with [name removed], all the help we received with the move . Then when we had to move my Mom to the memory care unit everyone was most helpful again. We could not be happier with the Radcliff. [name removed]

The Radcliff is outstanding. It is far and away the best facility we have seen. My Dad needed more help than I was able to provide. Since moving him to the Radcliff, with the help of caregivers, nurses and other staff, my Dad is healthier, happier and more active than he has been in a few years. [name removed]

One huge shout out to the Radcliff and their staff! One of the most difficult tasks in life is to find a home for your adult parent that you feel will offer the love, support and safety you want. Being an only child makes this even harder, not to mention extremely emotional. The Radcliff was there for my family through the whole process always going above and beyond. Always listening, always responding. Everyone truly wants you to feel that you are a part of one “big” family. I love the flexibility and friendly atmosphere!
