Overall, the staff is friendly and the community is clean. It's a no-frills community compared to some, but for a resident in memory care who won't utilize the movie theater or sports bar that others offer, the savings are worth it. It's attractive on the outside and inside. There are always activities going on if your loved one is interested and able to participate, and families are always welcome to join in. Communication could be a bit better, so you need to take initiative to call and get details of how your loved one is doing when you are not there visiting along with dr info (ie results of xray or lab work). As with most areas of life, the squeaky wheel gets the oil...and sometimes you have to be the squeaky wheel especially when your loved one can't advocate for him/herself.... Read more

During COVID my father wasn't eating and the staff went out and got my dad a sandwich. There were issues with records and Paramount went above and beyond to make sure they could assist my loved one in getting into Paramount.

The community took excellent care of my loved one and they did a good job during this pandemic. When he passed away I would have like to be informed That we are charged until we get the belongings out of the room. I would recommend this community to others
This facility was nice at the beginning but each month they raised the price for one reason or another. He had to room with a man who tried to keep the heat at 86 degrees. there were several issues we tried to get this fixed but it was not fixed. We had several items misplaced and I had to go and find them. The food was wonderful and some of the staff were very nice. I would not recommend

We chose Paramount Senior Living because we needed to find someplace with availability as well as we were impressed when we toured this facility. They were able to care for her at a cost that was better than most other places than we saw. They have options on room sizes, I do wish the one my mother was in was a little bigger. My mom is happy with the food that they have provided here. During COVID, the facility held a parade. They did do window visits during the pandemic as well as face time visits. They have been as flexible as they can be. The best part of the community is that it is not as polished, everybody is real and friendly. There are constant visitors here which is a great sign to me. It is smaller and more intimate, people really know her.

Paramount Senior Living is a tad more on the expensive side, they do seem to have a good amount of activities for the residents to participate in. What stood out to us when we first were vising was that it is very clean and has a modern looking. The room our loved one is currently in is a nice size room, every one has their own bathroom. The food at this community is about average, our loved one complains a little bit about it but overall its pretty decent.

Hello and thank you for the opportunity to recommend, I've recently had the pleasure of visiting a family member at your facility. I was very impressed at the layout of the place. A very welcoming, clean and comfortable atmosphere. But the joy of our visit was having the pleasure of meeting your Marketing/Admissions Manager, [name removed]. She was kind, caring, compassionate and very helpful. And so obviously very devoted to her job there. I am eternally grateful for her assistance in my family's time of need. Thank you for your facility and care you give to our loved ones. I cannot imagine a better and more loving place for our seniors. God bless you all.

My mother-in-law was in a predicament—and so were we. [removed] I had been frantically searching area homes to find a good place for her. None seemed quite right. She needed specific care and protection. Coincidentally a friend told me about Paramount and how a wonderful woman there was setting up groups to help people caring for dementia patients; my friend, who is a loving and conscientious caretaker, was planning to use Paramount at Lancaster County as a respite home for her mother-in-law. So I got in touch, and [name removed] started the process of getting her in. But there was the issue of actually getting her in the car to go with me! [removed] [name removed] kept in close contact with text, coordinating everything. At last I was able to get everything in place to take her. And at 4 pm that day she finally agreed to go with me! [removed] Since she has been at Paramount her health has improved dramatically. She is a new person, far more loving, happy and not afraid of her abusive partner. She has mostly forgotten about him. She has found new friends and activities. The staff has been exceptional, caring for her with a level of patience, kindness and expertise that we could only have dreamed of before. It is a joy, every time, to visit and interact with the staff. I am there frequently at all hours and they are *all* consistently wonderful. I can't even single anyone out, since each staff member has been exceptional in the memory care unit! I would like to be sure that [name removed] is commended for her flexibility and poise under what were excruciating circumstances for us. My mother-in-law was in danger, and [name removed] acted with grace and professionalism, staying in constant text communication and coordinating everything. She stayed late the night of our arrival, and welcomed us after we had endured many stressful days and nights; she made us feel cared for and safe with humor and a loving attitude. We knew we had chosen well when we pulled up and everything was in place for us, a beautiful new safe home, and would recommend Paramount unconditionally. Thank you for reading my adventure- I certainly recommend this community above all others. With gratitude beyond what can be expressed,

I wanted to express the sense of satisfaction that I made the right decision on my mother's living arrangements, the facility inspired in me when I first walked into it. One burden that I have been carrying over the course of my mother stay within this facility is, did I make the right decision without visiting the facility in person. But the conduct of the staff, the visual presentation of the entire facility and the complete content I saw on the faces of the diners convinced me that I made the right decision. During the course of my mother's stay, all correspondence and phone conversations have been pleasant and professional. They all addressed every concern that I had (although there were only a few) promptly and with my mother's best interest in mind. I would like to extend to them a heartfelt thank you, for making my mother's remaining time on earth as pleasant as humanly possible. I do, with full confidence, recommend this facility whenever and with whoever that conversation may come up with.

The rooms are appropriate size, it is a more modern looking community, very well laid out. They have a very qualified chef for the residents, the food quality is great. They do have entertainment groups come in to perform for the residents. This community is designed greatly for residents with Alzheimer's, it is very clean. It doesn't look like your typical nursing home, it looks more like a hotel especially the entrance.

It seems from the outside in it seemed to be nice. My loved one was displeased and left. The loved one felt that they their needs weren't met. There were times they felt that they were overcharged and menus weren't brought to them. The loved one finally decided to change communities. When I went to pick up my loved one's belongings they were missing $150 pair of shoes and other effects. They wrote down my loved one's death as related to COVID and they are sending bills to me for the care of my loved one.

My family recently moved out of Paramount. Best thing I have done in a long time. Money is all that matters. I was lied to straight to my face. No one spoke to the $250 incontience fee. Would have been important since my family member was in a wheelchair. They are understaffed just read the Indeed reviews from employees. The difference between personal care and memory care night and day. Memory care is institutionalization. Ice cream sundaes party , day trips , beautiful lobby and dining room on the personal care side. Drab nothing at all special for a few thousand more a money on the memory care side. It is all about the almighty $$$ not the well being of the residents. Go elsewhere please

My mother is 88 with Alzheimer's. We moved her in February. This has been a wonderful place for her. The staff is warm and friendly and very accommodating. There are activities for her throughout the day. The place is clean and quiet. Summer evenings many of the residents gather on the porch and enjoy the sunset and the camaraderie. It is just a wonderful place for her to be. And the price is extremely reasonable. I would definitely recommend this residence. Mom is in very good hands.

We toured Paramount in May. [Name removed[ informed us that they meet with the resident when they arrive to adjust their room to the physical needs of the resident. Told us they had bed canes for beds and if needed they would get a hospital bed. She said that she would do a home visit before my fathers stay in August. Months went by and in countless emails [name removed] said she would call to schedule the Home visit. The week before his stay she was ill but said she would come the day before. She called that day to move the visit 3 times and ultimately never showed. We were stuck because we had hotel arrangements for the weekend. So we took my father there. [Name removed] was very unprofessional and snarky with my mother. We met with the director of nursing who took down information but told the staff the opposite of what we had said. He was placed in a room with a small twin bed. My father is a big guy, would be 6’3 when standing. So the bed had no bed canes and no potential for a different size bed. It worried us to leave him there as it was not set up for a man of his size or his physical needs. The nurses in the memory care center were ultra kind to my dad. Took care of him well and he liked being there. Sadly within 3 hours of dropping him off he had a fall. And again an hour later. And one more the following day. We couldn’t wait to get back and pick him up two days after taking him there for respite. We had scheduled for a week but couldn’t leave him there longer than two nights. [Name removed] will lie directly to your face and again in email. Guess getting paid is more important than taking good care of the loved ones you take to that facility. It’s been 2 months and we have yet to receive the paperwork she was going to mail to us. Never again will we use that facility.

[Name removed] was at paramount for about 6 weeks. He did not like it there and wanted to come home. Many of the patients had severe colds. They had people with the RSV. It is a severe respiratory virus that is deadly in seniors. Very contagious and no one was required to wear a mask. He was very sick and was transferred to the hospital and from there to a skilled nursing facility. He died 10 days later. I went to paramount the next days to get his things out of his room and they had put someone else in his room and didn’t tell me. I had paid for the room for the month. I eventually was reimbursed for the rest of the month. The staff was very good to [name removed] but were extremely busy. I regret that I put him in a nursing home and wish I had made better decisions. If you can’t speak up for what you need, you are ignored. I have so many regrets.

Paramount staff (ALL) make your loved one feel special. they smile, hug, dance and play with the residents when I asked questions they are there with the answers or will find someone to answer them. mom has moved into the memory center now, but she is still taken well care of. I wish we would have found this place first.

My mother was at this facility while we were on vacation. She says she would recommend this facility to anyone. Meals were excellent and all staff were kind, considerate and respectful. There were many activities available if you wanted to participate. We picked my mother up a day early expecting a one day refund, however I am told no refund is due to us even though we picked her up a day early.

i was visiting a family member at this community last week and i was amazed by all of the happy residents who were busy with different activities and welcoming to me as i came in the door. Such a beautiful place! I thought my grandma was in a nice place but going there made me feel like she was in the best place possible. Thank you Paramount for giving her the best care she could ask for. Before i left I took a walk around, fantastic is what came to mind. I left smiling and can’t wait to visit again!!
