This place does not communicate with the family about the well-being of their loved ones. They outright lie when you are able to ask direct questions. For example, we were told we "might wanna wear a mask" because a couple folks got the flu. It was a full on covid outbreak they were covering up. They use sneaky tactics to get cognitively impaired people to sign over their rights, their homes and their funds. When they realized my mom wasn't going for it, they made every effort to push my Dad out of rehab before he was ready and had home care in place. They do not perform basic care, like helping people to the bathroom or giving people water when they are thirsty. The food is awful and the place is overrun with mice. My dad lost weight just because he couldn't eat their cardboard toast and frozen eggs. Food service staff retaliate against patients! You and your loved ones are not safe in this place. Please look at other online reviews. This place is a horror show!

My mom has lived here for 10 years and the place has really gone down hill since changing hands. Overworked, underpaid (and therefore unresponsive) staff. They haven’t replaced my mom’s emergency call button for nearly a month and she had a fall and was on the floor for hours! When I called to get it replaced, they said they’d do it and never did. TV service has been intermittent, repairs were promised and not made … new owners DO NOT CARE for the residents and patients. They’re squeezing for more profits.

The reason for my rating is. My dad passed away before he could enjoy anything He did not complain to much about the food. The people that helped me when I could find someone were friendly, however the care was average Except for skilled nursing.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!! Our mother was sent there for rehab after surgery on her knee, and they were told outright that she was a fall risk, and needed monitoring. Not a week after she was there, they found her sitting on the floor beside her bed, and sent her to the hospital for examination of possible head injury. She was returned to the facility after a couple days, and we were told there was no sign of head injury, but her condition deteriorated rapidly afterward. She wasn't eating, and they made no real effort to make sure she got food (or what garbage they passed as food) into her. She passed away after 2 months there, and when my wife, brother and sister-in-law went to collect her belongings, the staff at the nurse's station greeted us with "oh, THAT family". no sympathy, compassion, or empathy whatsoever. Avoid this place like the plague!!!!

The change from cable to dish television has been a disaster. Local channels are unwatchable and many digital choices are not of interest. There are multiple channels on cars. Come on. I am a visitor. Taking advantage of older adults that are not tech savvy and can’t speak up knowledgeably is almost criminal. Old people need their tv to be WATCHABLE.

This place does not have any real facilities for independent living,no fitness center and no dinning facilities except for the one in the personal care section. The lady that gave us the tour was very nice and informative. I would consider the personal care ,it look much better than independent living, with nice common areas, but that is not what we are looking for

A Place for Mom has scored Oak Hill Village 6.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
