While we were awed by the facility, we found the care to be deplorable. The facility is mismanaged from the top to the bottom. Medication was not given and phone calls were not returned. The front desk had attitude every time I called ("exactly what do you want?") Only because I was asking if prescriptions were filled. Thank goodness we were able to find another facility because I could not fathom another day in that facility! In addition the staff smelled like weed!!AND the chef prepared food is a joke. Tell me how grilled cheese and hot dogasselctions for dinner is chef inspired!? I believe the incompetence is actionable. This is my personal experience and hope to help others in a decision making process.

I'm giving feedback from 2 years ago - I would never recommend Seaton to anyone! I will say that [name removed] was very kind to us and let us out of the lease early bc he knew of all of the issues. Unfortunately, I would rate them a 1 on everything except for Activities. My brother never did any of them, but they did seem to offer several choices. Price was about what we saw everywhere. Food was not good at all. At the time he was there, I would visit almost daily in the evenings. You could NEVER find a staff person or nurse at all. I would find a housekeeper who would have to Radio for someone. It was my understanding they were going to have a supervisor there in the evenings but we were told that at our exit interview

Mom is very happy there. There are prettier, places with more amenities but these are much more expensive. Housekeeping in common areas is good, some wear and tear noted but these are hard to keep up with. Housekeeping staff are very friendly and well liked by residents. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Quality is good....not sure what to use as parameters. Sometimes communication between staff drops which. An cause delays. There is a nice variety of meals. Not always seasoned to my Mom's liking but have to cook for all. Hard to get condiments when needed. Loves the activities and bus trips. Lots to do if you want to be involved Activities director is great!. Have had issues with being charged for care my mom was not receiving. They were open to review and discussion

I would recommend Seaton Springwood. I would say that they need to work on their initial onboarding of a resident. They were very professional to deal with. And we felt like it was the best place for my mom.

The first few weeks were rough because it took my mom a while to adjust to the new facility. A Wanderguard bracelet helped reassure us that she was safe on her explorations and she began to settle in. She loves the food, and is surrounded by lovely, friendly residents who look after each other. Her room is cleaned regularly—it sparkles when they are done. The care givers are very cheerful and communicative with her. As a result, her cognitive function, communication, and communication have all improved. Most importantly, she is comfortable, safe, more content than she has been in a long time. The staff has carefully planned activities that cover all areas of residents’ needs. From church services to happy hours, hymn sings to live music, Seaton has it all. My family and I highly recommend. Oh, and the facility is beautiful!

Let me be clear my mother in law was neglected in that facility. She is no longer there and in addition we have filed a lawsuit against them for continued negligence .She was hospitalized 4 times in 2 weeks. They are understaffed and nobody there is close to being qualified to work with dementia patients. Do not send anyone to them!!!

I have already recommended Seaton Springwood and A Place for Mom to a friend where I live. I shared with her how clean the facility is, how friendly and helpful everyone is from management to all staff members. Also, compared to other assisted living places it seems to be the most affordable for this area. My husband has been comfortable living at Seaton and is well taken care of on all levels of health care. A big Thank You to A Place for Mom for all the help you have given me.

Everything is going well at Seaton Springwood. My mom is adapting quite well, much better than she did at her previous facility where there was too many people, 40 people in her community, and it was just too much. It was overwhelming for her, here she has maybe 15 people and there's always enough staff on duty. They said every 15 minutes or 30 minutes, they check on the patients in case something would go a mess. They would be there to catch it rather quickly, which is good. We've had no issues. Communication with the family is wide open. If I don't get the answer or if they don't have the answer, I will get it within a reasonable amount of time. I am pleased with the way that they help the community with little things like on Good Friday. We had a tea with mom and that was kind of special and I know that they do little things with the residents. I do appreciate how quiet and helpful they are, I don't have anything bad to say.

If I was looking to place my mom somewhere again I think I would make the same decision. As far as the activities go, I do think that they need more things for the residents to get involved in. Really nice place for older individuals and you really don't have to worry about them being cared for.

I picked this community because it seemed like everything my aunt needed when we were looking for a facility. The place changed drastically in less than one year. I would say they went downhill quickly. They also promise lots of things such as cleaning the rooms weekly which didn't happen unless I requested it & then sometimes it didn't happen.

From the initial phone call to moving day and beyond, I couldn't be happier. [name removed] made the process of getting my mother registered so easy. Everything was explained in detail. She was very understanding and extremely knowledgeable about my mother's form of Alzheimers. Since moving day, there were some bumps in the road, but the staff has been amazing. They are very communicative. But more importantly is the personal touch. I feel the staff is truly invested in taking great care of the residents and ensuring that they are happy. Alzheimers is a horrible disease and this process could have been horrendous. I no longer worry if my mother is being cared for, because I see it every time I visit her and hear how happy she is when we talk on the phone. The number/variety of activities provided is amazing. But most importantly are the services provided that are included in the monthly fee, Seaton Springwood does not charge their residents for each service.

The staff at Seaton Springwood have been wonderful. The aides are exceptional and really care. Housekeeping is good and when I call, if person is not available, they call back within a reasonable timeframe. If something comes up, they contact me. I have to say, I am very involved in my mothers stay and care and other families need to do the same. I have not eaten the food, but it looks and smells good and my Mom likes it very much. I definitely would recommend Seaton Springwood to others.

I highly recommend Seaton Springwood so far as they are doting and very concerned about residents.I saw that myself when I was last there. We picked this community because the, price was reasonable.Less people there means more attention for my mother in law.

A Place for Mom has scored Seaton Springwood 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
