Country Meadows of York - South

We were living in a community of 500 homes with all the amenities of a Resort. We were not sure that Country Meadows could satisfy us. In searching out several retirement communities we decided to pick Country Meadows. They not only met all our needs but exceeded our expectations. We are so happy here and we are sure you will be too. The Staff here is caring and very concerned about your health and happiness here. Tons of smiles and greetings here as the staff makes an effort to address you by name. Your needs are attended to immediately as if you were the only resident here. I moved my mom into the Connections Memory Care of Country Meadows at Leader Heights in March of 2023. The care she and I both have been receiving since the day we walked in the front door is exceptional! The entire community is beautifully maintained, and the staff members, from the administration team to the front desk personnel, and everyone in between, have been very friendly and helpful. The Connections staff lovingly cares for my mom daily and are very attentive to my mom’s evrey request and need. They never hesitate to take the time to answer all my questions and share details about my mom’s daily life whether I am visiting or simply calling to check in on her. The activities have provided my mom with an opportunity to stay active in many ways and have helped her to build lasting friendships with the staff as well as other residents. I highly recommend Country Meadows to anyone looking for a loving safe community for themselves or their loved ones.

My cousin is a resident in the Memory Community at Country Meadows in the York South facility. I can’t say enough about the staff. These are caring people who have genuine personal relationships with the residents. While they lovingly care for the residents they also take time to share daily details and answer family’s questions. The ratio of staff to resident allows a level of attention I never thought possible. Daily life is well planned and implemented smoothly. The food is exceptional with choices at every meal. The around-the-clock activities on all levels are varied, stimulating and fun. There are ongoing opportunities for exercise and one’s spiritual needs. The daily social events provide for connection and friendships. The many furnished areas throughout the building offer extended living space for residents and their visitors. And visitors are welcomed and invited to join their loved ones in events. The facility is beautifully cared for. I am most grateful!

My brother and I situated our Dad in this facility in mid 2016. He was initially in independent living. As he needed more care he was moved to the memory care level of service and cost doubled. I generally feel his care is adequate but as a for profit facility it comes at a premium ($8000) per month. Originally there was a pool and recreational facility but closed due to cost. There should be a reduction of fees but wasn’t. Seems we pay more for less.

I brought a friend here to reside in an assisted living apartment. The staff have always been friendly and cheerful no matter what comes up. They look out for his physical health giving his family and myself a sense of security. The facility is clean and he has well planned meals. There are a variety of activities offered as well.

My Mom (79), [name removed] just celebrated her 1 year anniversary at Leader Heights!!! We needed to find a facility that would care for her and I could not be more pleased with the overall staff and the caring environment. I worked with [name removed] to find a place for my Mom and lucky for us they had one unit available, great decision and my Mom is doing wonderfully there!! She enjoys the many activities, the food is excellent and the entire facility is always very clean and during holidays decorated wonderfully! I told [name removed] during a recent visit how I am so thankful to her and the staff, I know my Mom is in great hands and I never worry about her ever! Since my Mom has been there she has embraced the community and partakes in many activities, she is seldom in her room and always out and about doing activities or socializing with her friends. Prior to Country Meadows she was living alone and retracting from much of her social activity, she has found her fountain of youth at County Meadows!!

I can't say enough good things about Country Meadows. The quality of the staff is simply outstanding. Everyone is very professional, caring and extremely responsive. They go out of their way to assist my mother and meet all her needs, both physically and emotionally. They are very quick to call me with any of their concerns, which I appreciate. The number and variety of activities provided are also impressive. The staff often seek my mother out to make sure she is aware of the activity and then encourage her to participate. My mom's days are filled with a lot of interaction and stimuli. She is definitely not just sitting in her room. The physical environment is wonderful. The facility itself is bright and appealing, but more importantly the residents' rooms are very nice and spacious, even for the residents who require more care. A lot of facilities reduce the size of a resident's space as the amount of care they require increases. We had my mother in another facility prior to this one and the difference is unbelievable. It's like coming out of the darkness into the light. My mother is so much happier, and so are we. My husband works with an agency that regulates continuing care facilities in another state, so he has been exposed to a lot of them, and he has been absolutely amazed at how great Country Meadows is. Country Meadows may be a bit more expensive than some of their competitors but it is well worth the extra money. You definitely see that extra money put toward the number of staff on duty at any time, the QUALITY of that staff and the many services provided to their residents. Oh, and the food is delicious too! I highly recommend Country Meadows. It is a place of unparalleled quality.

I've been a resident at Country Meadows for over a year, and find it to be very warm, comfortable, and caring place to live. The staff are pleasant and friendly, the food is good, and the many activities and programs that are offered are the best. I couldn't ask for any thing better.
