The value at Brookdale is the staff and caring for individuals that truly are AL level. Once they require more and more assistance - 1 and 2 person assist, higher level care, such as wound care, etc... they struggle on maintaining the same level of quality. The price goes up with each of those changes accordingly, but i would say the quality does not go up on the same trajectory... Read more

They take excellent care of my father at this community. He is always clean and happy. The nurses are very communicative. The only thing that I have an issue with is the communication with the assistant director and financing. They can be hard to get a hold of.

It was a nice community.
I did a video tour with Brookdale and it was a nice facility. We lost connection a few times during the tour and I did feel a little rushed. The sales person was supposed to send us rates in the mail and I never got them so it would have been nice to get some more follow up from them. We went with another facility but we will be looking here for respite care again in the future.
We chose them because they are pet friendly and it was an emergency situation for us and they were able to take her. The people are wonderful and the facility is great but the billing is not good. We have big issues with billing. corporate is not in touch with what is happening locally. Every time we get a bill we call and try to get it figured out, there is a lack of transparency when trying to get an itemized bill. So if you are doing private pay it is not a good place but if you have insurance it is the best place. I would tell others just to make sure to advocate for your loved ones.

I felt more of a number here. They were looking for a quick entry of my loved one. I was looking for the nurse to resident ratio and they couldn't provide an answer to me. The memory care area didn't have locked doors to the outside.
The community did not maintain my loved one medication correctly and did not offer the correct dietary need that my loved one needed. The communication about covid was fine I did have an issue with the billing staff and their communication. I would not recommend this community to others.
Response from Brookdale Pinnacle
April 16, 2021We are sorry to hear Brookdale Pinnacle did not meet your expectations. Our staff is continuously committed to providing the highest-quality service and care for each resident and we will share your feedback with our management team.
We chose Brookdale because of the location, it was closest to me, the care they offered, and after we toured it, it suited my brothers temperament and outlook. I wish that my brother would have gotten the one bedroom, he chose the studio and I thought it was a little on the smaller side. He loved the food here, they have a chef on site who prepares all of the meals. The best part about the community is the friendliness and care of the staff members, it was exceptional. I would absolutely recommend.

It is very accessible. It is a nice place. It is clean. The other residents are nice. The room size and layout of the community were good. They have different floor plans for people to choose from. They have a lot of nice outdoor space.

Real difficulties in paying for my parent's stay here - I don't like auto-pay, but that seems to be the method that this company wants, and since I am paying more that five thousand dollars per month, I want to control the checkbook. I figured out that calls to this company don't go to this company, but to an unrelated call center who can't help, and can't even send me an email to confirm receipt of my call.

We would HIGHLY recommend NOT using Pinnacle based on our experience! We were not only billed $5k for a 48 HOUR stay for my grandfather, but Pinnacle continued to bill Medicare for over 2 WEEKS including AFTER he has already passed away for medications and stay!!! PLUS they sent my mother an invoice for an additional $560 for a copay on medication!!!....he was there 48 hours and over an entire YEAR, his co pay for the medications he is on is not that much! We are having a difficult time getting them to make this right and correct their mistakes so we will be taking further action and will be sure to share our experience! Little do they know we have family that works for the Attorney General.

I tried to tour this community for myself. I was not able to get in touch with anyone to go thru the community to see what was available. The outside was clean and looked nice. I would recommend that other families try and tour this community before they make a decision for a loved one to get assistance.

The staff at this community is very attentive and very nice with my mom. Mom has gotten involved in the exercise and a few other things that they offer here. The food can use some work it is served cold sometimes and there is not enough flavor or variety. I must say though we are realyl pleased.

My father is doing well here at this community. So far it has been a good experience, and I'am comfortable with his move here. It is a good, safe community with kind people. They have a great staff, and they are very friendly. They answer any questions I may have. There are activities available for the residents. The food is good, he is pleased with the meals. It is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for us.

We are all very happy with this community. Mom is having a rough time with the transition, but she has been getting involved with some of the activities. Mom also likes the food and the dining experience. I have never had any problems with my parents room being dirty or the community.

I was very displeased with this community, the staff had promised us a variety of things during our tour then when move in date came they did not follow through with any of them. I had to provide my parents an extra bed as well as a TV set and chairs in the bedroom. They also were often short staff and would take my parents up to an hour to receive there food.

Our experience with Brookdale Pinnacle has been a very good one, so far! Mom is adjusting very well, and really seems to enjoy it here, she is meeting a lot of new people! She also really likes the food, there are always lots of choices. Really the only issue we've had so far is some issues with items going missing with the laundry service.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Pinnacle 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
