The value at Brookdale is the staff and caring for individuals that truly are AL level. Once they require more and more assistance - 1 and 2 person assist, higher level care, such as wound care, etc... they struggle on maintaining the same level of quality. The price goes up with each of those changes accordingly, but i would say the quality does not go up on the same trajectory... Read more

I have had a very good experience with Brookdale. All I want is good quality care for my loved one. Everyone there gives all they can to help the patients. My person is in the memory care. I thought it would be a hard place to visit but find that I enjoy my visit because every time I walk in they have the residents doing something if it’s just singing songs, crafts or having snack time. They make their quality of life better. I’m so glad we chose Brookdale. I think you will be too.

It's pretty clean, as rooms are "cleaned" once a week but never dusted. - general apartment maintenance is not good, ie: Still waiting for new fire alarm- old one removed a year ago! Also Spectrum boxes need replaced w updated ones as they go out about once a day. Spectrum says they can't come do it unless someone from the facility calls and asks for it. Would also like to add that some staff members, especially nurses, are marvelous, attentive, kind, personable, and go the extra mile to humanize interactions and leave residents with a smile. I think they employ aides who are temps, and they often appear not know what they are supposed to do and do not answer buzzers. Would also like to add that the front desk IS NOT STAFFED from about 2:00pm for the rest of the say. If resident or family need to get in touch w the facility in an emergency, there seems to be no way to do so! Also, some residents are very concerned that anyone could just walk in and go anywhere in the facility most times of the day: very unsettling.

The nursing staff seems great! However, they could use some more help when it comes to the weekends, our loved ones care seems to drop some on the weekends due to the staffing shortages.

To be honest, they are very short staffed lately, seems like a lot of turnover, the food has gone downhill, they serve chicken of some sort everyday, and housekeeping has to be reminded weekly to come in and get her bedding, I do her other laundry

The medical staff, including nursing, has gone over and above to make sure that I am comfortable, and my condition is being handled with the upmost care. They are controlling the pain to the best of their ability and have taken care of any additional medical Concerns. The outside of the building is well cap grounds manicured and building is in pristine condition. I am very glad to call Brookdale pinnacle for now my home.
Had Thanksgiving with [name removed] here and it was nice. They really enjoyed it. They have been here for about 6 months and they say it’s the best move they made. ??. If they like it then that all we as loved ones need to hear.

Nothing exceptional. A few of the nurses and caregivers exceed expectations; however some clearly do not. Food is mediocre-not enough dark green veggies, too much breaded fish and chicken, only fresh fruit is bananas. Too many potatoes offerings. The desserts are great!

We picked this community, because it was cleaner! Employees seemed neater, personally cleaner, more professional. Seemed to speak with residents, smile more- not just speak AROUND the residents, to each other.Decor was warm in beiges, like a well-kept home an older person would feel comfy in - rather than gray and white, glitzy, and cold like some new ones we saw or run down like too many! The day's menus were prominently displayed. Great!! Mom really liked that! Too bad residents don't recieve them in advance, like a week or even a day in advance.

Overall the experience has been great especially for my dad, however their is room for improvement. We have noticed there is shortage in aides. Some of the aides are wonderful, and others not so much. According to our mom, the food is sometimes bland.

We toured Brookdale Pinnacle and it was a nice facility! The cleanliness was good. The friendliness and staff were also good. However, we believed that our loved one aligned with the activities more at another facility that we had toured than they would have at this facility.
From the moment my husband and I met with staff, we knew Brookdale Pinnacle was in a class all of it's own. Staff members took the time to talk with us, asking questions about my dad who has Alzheimer's disease. We appreciate the support from the staff every step of the way. We liked the holistic approach Brookdale takes to care for it's residents. After the tour at Brookdale, we knew that was where we wanted dad placed for his care.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Pinnacle 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
