Butler Street Senior Living in Harrisburg, PA

The community has good staff; however I feel they are understaffed currently. There has been some staff turnover since my loved one moved into the community. Due to the staffing challenges this can cause delays in waiting for meals, care, and more. [name removed] the Director is wonderful; however she seems overworked. [name removed] is also wonderful. [name removed] does a great job with the activities for the residents.

Vibralife in Mechanicsburg, PA

This facility is poorly run, poorly staffed and neglects the residents who are designated in the rehab section of the facility. I would never endorse this facility for any person. Your loved one will be hurt and his/her needs will not be satisfactorily met.

Juniper Village at Mount Joy
5.0

My mother was only able to spend a few months in the memory care section of Juniper Village at Mount Joy, however, the care and compassion of the staff along with the cozy setting finally enable her to relax and feel at home. If you are looking for a warm and cozy setting for your loved one, I would definitely recommend Juniper Village.

A nursing home is a building that houses two or more persons who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. This type of facility offers its inhabitants 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. A large number of inhabitants tend to be single women with smaller social support groups, and almost fifty percent of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85. Often times seniors may select to live in a nursing home due to a mental or physical condition that prevents them from easily accomplishing their lifestyle goals. Nursing homes are required to provide pharmaceutical services, routine personal hygiene items, emergency dental services, and room and bed maintenance services to residents. The most frequent mental condition experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their and familiarity with their surroundings, memory recall, and decision making abilities.
