We explored a number of options, and was very impressed with the proffesionalism at Veranda. I am glad we made this choice, for my loved one.

Creekside Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Meridian, ID
4.6 / 5.0

This place is like no other. I have seen many Skilled Nursing Facilities and this is the one you can walk in any time, day or night and there is no smell, its always clean, and the staff and patients are all laughing together. They interact and its not sterile and false and clinical. The staff genuinely connect with each other and the patients. The food is good, the management team is always helping, always attentive.

Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village in Meridian, ID
4.7 / 5.0

The staff are very, very kind and interested in the residents. They give 5-star service. They're also very interested in interacting with the families, and they welcome the families to come visit. If they have any staff shortages, the administrators will even fill in. They have great communication with emails and phone calls. And the food is quite good.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a community that houses at least two seniors who have no familial ties to the administrator. This type of complex provides its occupants with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These caregivers provide care for seniors who cannot take care of themselves.

This type of community is a helpful and easy care option for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will routinely admit persons 55 and greater rarely heard of in senior care regarding alternate care types. The most common mental condition experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their memory recall, and familiarity, and decision making capabilities. Types of amenities and services offered at nursing homes might include adult day services , monitoring serious illness and unstable health status, bill pay, and personal care (including dressing, bathing, and toilet assistance). A large portion of nursing home residents are individuals who require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, have a physical or mental disability, have incontinence issues, or experience difficulty with hearing and sight. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include a private room, unless medically needed, personal clothing, and cosmetic and grooming items. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to spend time with visitors, make complaints, be free from discrimination, and exercise your rights as a U.S. citizen.
