We explored a number of options, and was very impressed with the proffesionalism at Veranda. I am glad we made this choice, for my loved one.
This place is like no other. I have seen many Skilled Nursing Facilities and this is the one you can walk in any time, day or night and there is no smell, its always clean, and the staff and patients are all laughing together. They interact and its not sterile and false and clinical. The staff genuinely connect with each other and the patients. The food is good, the management team is always helping, always attentive.
The staff are very, very kind and interested in the residents. They give 5-star service. They're also very interested in interacting with the families, and they welcome the families to come visit. If they have any staff shortages, the administrators will even fill in. They have great communication with emails and phone calls. And the food is quite good.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home community offers lodging to at least two persons who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home community provides its occupants with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These caregivers provide care for those who cannot adequately care for their needs due to their aging.
This type of community is a convenient and comfy living choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will frequently admit persons 55 and greater rarely heard of in senior care regarding other care types. Many occupants of nursing homes might have behavioral issues. These can consist of resisting assistance, a tendency to wander, or verbal outbursts. The most common mental condition experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their memory function, decision making abilities, and and their sense of familiarity. Nursing homes are required to provide medically-related social services, nursing and related services, pharmaceutical services, and emergency dental services to residents. Examples of care services and amenities provided at nursing homes can include social and recreational activities, adult day services , meal programs, and patient and caregiver education. Some services come at an extra cost which can include special care services not included in the community’s Medicaid payment, specially prepared food, and flowers and plants.
