We haven't had a negative experience. The hurricane is a natural disaster that is always going to be challenging. They evacuated my dad and he is safe. Yes we would recommend this community to other families. I know there is a lot of negative right now but we don't feel that way. Even my almost 89 year old father isn't complaining. It is an independent living facility. My dad gets extra support from providers we pay for. With that being said Terraces's is providing support to him during the evacuation.
I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. This is a clean and friendly place with good services. It is a good value for the money. The food isn't individually as targeted as my loved one would like.
Since Dad started his journey at Landing at Woodland Lakes, it's like watching him conduct a symphony of life. He's surrounded by support, yet free to compose his days with activities he loves. The blend of care, community, and personal space is music to our ears.

For many seniors, cost of owning a home might be a deterrent to enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a great solution. Frequent needs such as housekeeping and the scheduling of social activities are taken care of, allowing occupants more free time to live their lives as they desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to utilize the services of private medical providers, they may always do so. There are an assortment of expenses and benefits to keep in mind when selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in your care plan: field trips, initial assessment fee, laundry, housekeeping, move-in fee, utilities, cable TV, and Waiting list deposit. The amenities associated with independent living include security guards, healthcare center, transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, concierge services, beauty salon & barber shop, community activities, and fitness center & swimming pool.
