First, you need to see this facility. They did a major renovation and it looks so different. It has been modernized and looks amazing. My Mom has been at Brandywine for a few years. It is a tough decision to make when your loved one needs more care than what you can give. The apartments are roomy. The food is wonderful. There are so many activities that one will never get bored. My Mom is now on the Reflections-Memory Care Unit. The care and support that she receives is amazing. She is well cared for. The staff is so genuine and supportive to my Mom and family. Administration takes the time to talk with you and answer your questions. It is like an extended family. I am so happy with making the decision to move my Mom to Brandywine.
Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line is a very spread out facility for independent living, but the section for assisted living is more condensed and tight knit. For independent living they offer a studio apartment, one bedroom or two bedroom apartment. They have tons of activities provided for residents to participate in. There is a huge indoor pool clubs, bistro bar etc. Tons to do. I would recommend Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line to others looking. It feels more home like and has beautiful surroundings.
For how they try to accommodate the residents, they really go above and beyond. The only thing that is difficult is that my mom can't see that well and the ovens are geared for handicapped people and it's digital and she can't read the numbers. Lot's of activities. They have things like bingo, but they also take them places weekly, like to the store, and the bank, and the doctors.

For those who would prefer to live primarily without assistance but would like the convenience of having housekeeping taken care of by professionalls, an Independent Living Community might be the perfect choice. Occupants may continue to live their lives as they wish while their food is cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers. There are a variety of expenses and advantages to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in the care plan: move-in fee, utilities, Waiting list deposit, transportation, initial assessment fee, meals, wellness program, and cable TV.
