Luther I and Luther 2 are infested with bedbugs and mice issues. They paint apartment every 7 years and once the 7 years are up you get put on the waiting list wherein you may have to wait another 7 years. Hallway rugs on all floors are disgusting and all stained. I feel sorry for the elderly people who reside in these buildings.

This place is the absolute worst. For the amount of money spent monthly you would expect better accountability and care for the people living there. My grandma was there for years and the lack of compassion and paying attention to the seniors there is a joke. They do not monitor the people living there. I’ve witnessed people leaving there and the staff had no clue where they went, mind you this is Wilmington. The nursing staff does not listen to family members when the family has concerns. Anytime there was an issue they would not inform the us. Everytime we went to visit there, the hallways smelled like urine. I do not recommend this facility to anyone who actually cares about there family members.

MY 97 year old grandmother has lived at Luther Towers II for many years, and this past summer the building has become infested with Bed Bugs. The staff has not handled the situation well at all, and the problem has continued to grow. Over the summer we had to remove all of the furniture from her apartment, and to date Luther Towers has not offered any financial assistance to her to replace everything. The only furniture she has in her apartment is a bed, a wooden table and chair and a TV. How can this company allow senior citizens to live like this?

The tour coordinator left us standing in the lobby for 30 minutes. I'm sure it will have a better atmosphere once the lobby and elevators are updated.

Facility is dated, needs updates - paint, new carpet, etc. They offer independent or assisted living - no in-between. My folks are on the border, and they want independence, but may need occasional help. Their apartments are small, too small for two people.

We found Luthern Towers staff very friendly. The application process was very easy to go through. The rooms are very nice and clean. The hallways are large and clean. They offer a lot of activities and they have offer plenty of support. We are very happy with our aunt living here.

For how they try to accommodate the residents, they really go above and beyond. The only thing that is difficult is that my mom can't see that well and the ovens are geared for handicapped people and it's digital and she can't read the numbers. Lot's of activities. They have things like bingo, but they also take them places weekly, like to the store, and the bank, and the doctors.

My overall review of Luther Towers One is good. My father has been there now for a few weeks, and he has experienced nothing but kindness from his neighbors and those who work there. He has also attended a program they offered on financial budgeting and he was very pleased. He has not had a complaint therefore I don't have any complaints.

Location seemed a bit problematic re parking. Visited public areas but did not visit. Spoke with the director by phone.
