Talamore Woodbury
5.0

The staff at Talamore are very nice, helpful, friendly and approachable. They go out of their way for us to have a pleasant experience. My loved one has 19 meals included in her rent and she has liked everything she has tried, especially the build your own omelet and the fish. The building is very clean and my mom enjoys going down for coffee every morning. Move in process went smoothly and the maintenance manager was very accommodating to our needs. Making friends is easy in the communal areas and during the many activities that are provided. We would definitely recommend The Talamore Woodbury for all of the above reasons!

Parkshore Senior Campus in Saint Louis Park, MN
4.9

Being out of state we do not get to visit that much, however when we do speak with our loved one she does seem to enjoy the meals and dining service. We do think the overall value for the money is good and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Parkshore Senior Campus to other families.

Bel Rae Senior Living in Mounds View, MN
4.7

We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

  • Social activities and outings
Complete guide to independent living

Little Canada, Minnesota

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community permits residents the ability to live their active lives while guaranteeing their basic needs are being fulfilled. Seniors can continue to use their free time as they wish while their meals are prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of private medical providers, they may always do so. There are a number of benefits and expenditures to balance while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in your care plan: meals, cable TV, internet access, transportation, housekeeping, laundry, field trips, and utilities. The benefits that pertain to independent living include game/TV room, security guards, golf course, healthcare center, beauty salon & barber shop, transportation, fitness center & swimming pool, and laundry service.
