Most important is from the director Rachel stave to the aids and food staff are caring humans!!! The experience has been amazing!!! I would highly recommend this location as staff and property are amazing. Even now in memory care it is the best possible place they could be! I am very comfortable giving them the highest marks. The food is amazing and they go to the pub for lunch and what looks like a restaurant for dinner. The menus and specials are awesome! There are activities for both the independent living and the memory care residents.... Read more

My loved one was previously a resident at The Waters of White Bear Lake and the facility itself was terrific. My loved one particularly enjoyed the food. Based on the experience, I would recommend this facility to others.

I had toured at least eight memory care homes and as soon as I toured "The Waters of White Bear Lake" I knew that I found the place I was looking for to care for my mother. I was feeling so guilty and anxious about transitioning my mom from her home of 60 years to a care community but the process went amazingly well! Staff at The Waters of White Bear Lake were so helpful, professional and patient. We had a few adjustments at first but through communication and consistency my mom is very happy. She will even tell you so! She loves the food, the staff, her room and benefits from participating in various programs and activities. I feel very comfortable with the choice we made. I would highly recommend this place if you want quality care for your loved one.

The facility is beautiful, huge windows in the apartments and the window coverings were slatted blinds and the appliances and woodwork in the kitchen and bathroom looked like someone really made it a first class apartment. The apartments were spacious. The dining was a menu to select from vs everyone gets the same thing each meal. The desk staff are super friendly, the activities person has been great. The place is super clean, well lit and halls are wide and ceilings are tall. I was proud to walk my parents who had not seen it prior to move in day. They love the apartment!!! Plus less than a mile from grocery and banking and less than 2 miles from target. I would for sure recommend them to family and friends.

Staff is wonderful and helpful, there's just not enough of them. The facility is very clean. Keeping enough people on staff is like anywhere else. There are not enough.

I would recommend you check the community out to see if it would a good fit for your loved one. The meals are being delivered to the resident's rooms due to the COVID protocols, currently. The staff communication I believe is pretty good.

Overall my dad is very happy here and he really likes the meals. There has been a few issues with medications and organization of doctors orders and getting that all sorted out with The Waters. I would recommend them to others looking.

We chose The Waters because we needed a place quickly and they had availability when we needed it. The room sizes at the facility are good, she had a studio and it was perfect for what she needed. I did have to go to staff quite a few times about some training issues, but they did fix the problems when it was brought to their attention. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

We chose The Waters because the staff were super friendly and the residents seemed happy when we visited. The amount of on site facilities they have is amazing, they really do offer a lot. My mom has been the happiest she has ever been since being here, it was a great choice. I would highly recommend them.

We chose The Waters of White Bear Lake because of quality of the facility, the cleanliness, and the value for the money. The convenient location was great for us as well. The apartment sizes are adequate, not too small not too big. When we first started then had a dining center in the evenings where residents could go eat, they closed that and now deliver to the room which is why I gave the food a lower score, it was also not communicated. Turnover of the staff has been an issue here, but I think that is the case everywhere. The staff are wonderful and very engaged, they have been great. I have looked at a lot of places and I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We have had a positive experience with The Waters of White Bear Lake. I have been to visit a couple of times and I like the facility and what they have to offer. I would recommend them to others who are looking.
My kids chose The Waters of White Bear Lake because they liked the facility and they thought it was going to be a good fit and that they would provide good care. I have one of the biggest apartments and it is great size, but I do not have a balcony. A lot of the apartments do have balconies. All of the people here are so friendly and helpful, staff members and residents.

The rooms were beautiful and most of the staff was really awesome. If your loved is outgoing they will love it here, if not they are not forced to participate. overall I would recommend this community.

The community is good. The flexibility of what is available for residents to do is something that stands out to me. The food is ok for me. The meals are currently being delivered due to the pandemic. I prefer to eat in the dining room.

This community is like an apartment. Anytime the residents leave their rooms the staff tell them to go back to their room. They want to keep all the residents in their rooms. If the staff finds a resident in a common area, they ask what are you doing in here. The residents are afraid of the staff. The staff will not greet or talk to anyone in the community. At 9 pm the staff will walk into my loved ones room. This has scared my loved ones several times. The staff doesn't announce themselves or wear their badges. The staff has stated they have never been asked to knock on the door of the residents doors before entering. I have had to write several letters to the community about this. The Waters is an old hotel that has been converted to senior housing. It is a beautiful community. The staff is behind locked doors. You have to make an appointment to speak to staff. The staff personally distributes the mail to the residents. My loved ones did not receive all their mail and were missing checks. My loved ones didn't receive their mail for three weeks. The staff demeans the residents if they ask about their mail. Whoever runs the community runs this community in an abrupt style. The Waters only provides five meals a week. You have to decide which meal you are going to skip . This community is higher in cost than the previous community my loved ones were at. I am giving great latitude due to the pandemic. There is a lot of turnover at The Waters. I would not recommend this community to others.

I went on a tour here and everybody was nice and helpful. She answered all of my questions. The apartments looked nice and it was a newer building. Mom just didn't like the location of it. I recommend families tour many places before making a decision.
