Talamore Woodbury
5.0

The staff at Talamore are very nice, helpful, friendly and approachable. They go out of their way for us to have a pleasant experience. My loved one has 19 meals included in her rent and she has liked everything she has tried, especially the build your own omelet and the fish. The building is very clean and my mom enjoys going down for coffee every morning. Move in process went smoothly and the maintenance manager was very accommodating to our needs. Making friends is easy in the communal areas and during the many activities that are provided. We would definitely recommend The Talamore Woodbury for all of the above reasons!

Parkshore Senior Campus in Saint Louis Park, MN
4.9

Being out of state we do not get to visit that much, however when we do speak with our loved one she does seem to enjoy the meals and dining service. We do think the overall value for the money is good and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Parkshore Senior Campus to other families.

Bel Rae Senior Living in Mounds View, MN

We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

Complete guide to independent living

Fridley, Minnesota

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community allows residents the opportunity to continue to live an active life while ensuring their care requirements have been met. Meals, leisure activities andhousekeeping are handled for you while you are unrestricted to use your time as you prefer. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they prefer. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private caregivers. There are an assortment of advantages and costs to balance while selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in your plan: parking, initial assessment fee, meals, utilities, laundry, internet access, cable TV, and field trips. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include healthcare center, golf course, beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, laundry service, community activities, game/TV room, and transportation.
