My loved one had a very short stay at Edgewood. He had an accident a couple weeks in, and was unable to return to the community because they don't offer skilled nursing. The time he spent here was positive, and if I had the option to bring him back, I would. I really like that their memory care unit was all on one floor. That way the residents had easy access to the dining room and other common areas. My loved one is healed now and would be able to return back to Edgewood, but I've decided to keep him at home instead.... Read more

My Mother has been in Edgewood for about 16 months now and our family is very satisfied with her care there. She is able to partake in many of the activities, bingo, sing alongs, visits from school children , small horse visits and harp playing guests to name a few. Also, all the staff have been wonderful and thanks for the nursing care when needed...we are so appreciative!

Edgewood Senior Living gets 5 stars all the way across, the community is very clean and the staff members are very attentive. Even the maintenance team know all of the residents by their first name. They have daily activities get gets our loved one out a couple times a day. Based on our overall experience so far with Edgewood Senior Living we would definitely recommend this community to other families

We’ve not been here long, but hands down, they're better in the first 24 hours than the place my loved one was at previously. Now we’re about a week in, and people come when we ring a buzzer. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and they do what the care plan says. My loved one absolutely loves their food, and he did not like the food at the other palace at all. We’ve been very pleased with Edgewood so far.
I would choose it in a heartbeat. It's one level and there is an easily accessible community area. Very welcoming to family members and the room sizes are good. The food is good. I would recommend this facility to others.

I like that the community is all on one level, no elevators. The food is not that great. The community is really nice the rooms are great. My mom has a one bedroom unit that works great for her. Staff is good, they really care about the residents.

My loved one was here at the Blaine Edgewood a year back and what we were told and what happened was not the same. We really question if the current ED has a clue on how to run this place. Our first flag was why so many directors that were fantastic at what they did left??We believe they saw things and knew things that they couldn't believe and left. Even the ones that replaced the originals have left. Blaine has constant staff turn over and they are always short staff and very disorganized. The evening and weekend staff pretty much dies what they want.We would never recommend this place. Over priced..under staffed and poorly managed ..average food and poorly organized activities..questinable clean ing practices.

We have been very pleased with everything about Edgewood of Blaine. Our dad became a resident in the memory care area last November. The staff is very caring, kind and considerate to the residents. They have many activities they encourage the residents to participate in such as exercise , movies and an assortment of games (cards, Bingo, etc) they offer each day. The facility feels clean and fresh. It is nice to know my dad is in a place he is well cared for. The nurse manager in the memory care area ([name removed]) is wonderful. She has stayed on top of my dad's care, as he has had a few health concerns since November and we can know he is well looked after.

My mom was In the Memory care unit there for 2 1/2 years and we absolutely loved it...........at first! But over the course of time they have lost some very valuable people that actually MADE the place outstanding. While the replacements have been just "ok" (with the exception of [name removed], she is at the very top of the list of people who should NOT be working in her position) it has not maintained it's "exceptional" standard. It was so hard to watch this place slide downhill so fast when, to us, it was top notch. I hope Edgewood can get some quality people back on staff and make that place "great again!" I know I am not alone in my assessment of Edgwood of Blaine. I have talked to many others who have felt the same way, but our choice was to either move our mom, which is very hard on her, or just be sure we were there often to keep an eye on her. I feel bad writing this, but I wouldn't be honest if I said anything different, For us, the location made it so we could be there often and make sure mom was ok.

Not very impressed with Edgewood. We were promised alot and after moving in nothing was true. They are always short staff, huge turnover in management in 2019 and not sure the Ed care about the residens or staff. The rooms are not cleaned well and staff is stressed and residents wait along time to get nursing help. The food in memory care is poor and the cost is more than you think it will be. They offer so little but your tour wont reflect that. Usually only one CNA working in the evenings and management doesnt follow up with cares or concerns. Dont bother coming in for a tour. They make it seem nice but it really isnt.

I feel the housekeeping is average. A few of the housekeepers are very friendly people. Our loved one's apartment could have definitely been cleaner. There are a few very exceptional caregivers/staff, but the caregivers who lack proper work ethic really bring the place down. I feel that the leadership team could improve by providing better care by them and having more attention given to the residents and the staff. I would make sure to do your research on the facility you choose before choosing this facility....

My dad has been at Edgewood memory care since [date removed]. He was transferred from rehabilitation directly to this facility. He has done very well and I feel like his quality of life at the age of 91 has been given a knew start. He has no more worries and they take great care of him. The entire staff has always been very hands on with everything so far.

My experience with Edgewood is that it is clean, comfortable, and the staff is very caring. Every person we came in contact with, housekeepers, kitchen staff, aids, nurses, activity coordinators, administrators, etc. were helpful, kind, and considerate. I feel as though they genuinely care about the residents and families. It didn't take long for us to realize that Edgewood was not only the best place for Mom, but the best place for us as well. Dad would visit Mom every day, and the staff made sure he was comfortable and included him in her care. The staff communicated with us frequently, answered our questions, listened to our concerns, and honored our requests. It felt as though they treated my mom the same way they would treat their own mom or grandmother. Unfortunately Mom was only there for a short time before she passed away, but she was well cared for while she was at Edgewood, and that gives me great comfort.

I toured this community for my fathers care. The staff was nice and they were able to answer the questions we had. This tour was helpful but it did not have what we were looking for. We would suggest that families tour the community on their own and to see if this is what they are looking for.

We toured this community and the staff was able to answer the questions that we had on the care that is needed. We wanted something that my mom could cook on her own when she wanted. They have a nice variety of activities for the residents who want to participate. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

It is a great community and my mother-in-law is having a fantastic experience. The staff care for her and give us updates. I can see she is much happier and in an environment with residents that are like her. I would recommend this community.

I like the staff here and they were very friendly and help; families with the questions I had about special care needs. They offered us a meal, but we did not accept. The activities would have been offered, I would recommend that families seeking the nice community and see if it is what they are looking for.

I think this is a nice facility, and the staff seemed to really care for and know the residents. There seemed to be an activity plan for the memory care community and there were reminiscence stations located around the memory care area for the residents to come upon and explore. A couple were set up for "the boys, one being sort of cars oriented and the other sort of fishing oriented. All apartments had shadow boxes outside of their units. The food here was pretty bad. Unimaginative and flavorless, and not many choices, even in assisted care, and memory care got fewer choices. Memory care residents are allowed, high functioning ones, to go to some events in the assisted care area, but there are no outside of the facility events for the memory care residents at all. It was a well run and well thought out place, but the studio rooms were small and only shared a common shower, and there are no snacks available except the one 2pm snack. It seemed a bit rigid. All right, but not on my short list.

My mother is enjoying her meals there are no complaints. The staff communication is good. They are very friendly as well. I would recommend the community to friends and family. I feel that my loved one is receiving the proper care that she needs. The staff tries to encourage her to participate in activities to a level of comfort. There are few activities that she is starting to engage in.
