Heathers Estates

Very nice place, very nice people- both staff and residents, nice location....very well executed and maintained... The apartment size is small-ish but not bad for 1 person in a one bedroom....don't know about the 2 bedroom.... I would recommend Heathers Estates to others looking for senior apartments.

I picked this community because it was the first one I saw. They had sent me a brochure. The building is very old and not well maintained. However; compared to other places you get more space for your money.

I would tell others that are looking into Heathers Estates that there is Heather's Manor next door that is for assisted living for people that need more care. If a resident of the Heathers Estates need to move over to Manor, the staff can help arrange it if necessary. The apartments are fine. Some have small patios that face the parking lot and those inside have nice large patios that face to court yard. My mom is happy here.

The staff are wonderful and are so friendly - [name removed] who showed us around the place was excellent. She took us to all of the different apartments and we got to see exactly which one he would like to live in. It is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, they make you feel like home. The apartment itself is very nice and they re-painted it and cleaned the carpets before he moved in. He has a 2 bedroom and the price is great, especially compared to what some other 2 bedroom apartments are going for around the area right now. There are sitting areas on each floor where the residents can socialize. They also have a library as well. All of the other residents have been very friendly to him and he has made a few friends. It is a nice looking facility and it is budded up to a park which is great for my brother because he has 2 dogs. They did not charge an application fee which was nice. I think they have a lot of good activities offered for the residents who want to partake. I would absolutely recommended Heathers Estates to others who are looking. My brother says "I am home".

There have been some rather difficult hurdles. First, we cannot get the internet in some of the apartments. The maintenance of the building's exterior is not very good - the outside looks rather unkept. The interior is okay, very basic. They did put a new floor and carpet in before my loved one moved in, which was nice. The couple of maintenance requests they had to make were responded to. There's not a lot to encourage people to socialize in any way. And there are a lot of older people there, which has been unfortunate for my loved one. Generally it meets basic needs, but there isn't much in the way of forthcoming help/assistance for the residents.

This community was fair. The staff communicate very well with the residents as well as the family. My loved one did not stay too long due to a hospital stay and then having to go to assisted living after but while we were there things were great.

It's a really great place to stay. Only problem I had is the parking lot can be a little icy. Other than they're great. The people are nice, the residents are nice, the staff, everything is really good here. It's neat and clean, and I really like it. It's a little hard on my budget, but other than that I have no complaints. They post plenty of activities, although I don't participate. But I hear the residents talking and they think they're great. They've had some water aerobics that people are enjoying. It's definitely worth it to stay here.

We chose Heathers Estates because it was well maintained, more affordable and the location. the apartment sizes were great, lots of room. They had plenty variety of activities here before COVID, but my grandparents did not participate. One complaint they had is the hallways here are very uncomfortable and hot. Overall, we had a good experience here and would recommend as long as you are in good health.

No washer/dryer in apartments unsatisfactory garage units

Went to find help for my friend and found three helpers sitting and reading on there phones. Why were they not helping people that live there? They just leave people and not help people that need help.

I toured this facility with the family, and we didn't like it at all. The facility was not clean and it smelled of smoke.

I toured this community for myself to live. I was happy with the staff and the cleanliness of the community. They had a lot to offer but I wanted a different type of atmosphere.

we toured this community for care for what we needed. The staff were very helpful and showed us a clean community that is maintained. We like the menu of the meals that would have been offered. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one and for the cost of a nice community.

So far I'am pretty pleased with my move to this community. It is a nice community. I would suggest that they have some type of orientation to the community. Other than that issue everything seems to be working out well. I've met a nice residents that are willing to show me around the community. It is a well-kept community. For the most part they do a good job with the cleanliness. I'am still getting adjusted to the routine around the community, but overall I would recommend this community.

For some reason at Heathers Estates, the assisted living was much nicer than the independent living. The community looked like it was not maintained very well, it was not my top choice.

We toured this community when looking for my parents. The staff was friendly and it was clean. We decided on another option in the area because Heather Estates had a longer wait on the Elderly Waver Program.

I am very pleased with my move into this community so far. My apartment was spacious and came with a complete kitchen as well washer and dryer. The only improvement I wish they had was more natural light throughout the studio and not so many lamps. I love enjoying the company of the residents at the activity center playing different card games and bingo.

It is fantastic the environment suit my mom very well. It's nice and well taken care of and they have a bunch of activities going on all the time in the great room. We like the nice indoor pool that is heated open to family members. The family can come to swim especially since being in Minnesota. The staff are welcoming every time we visit. Mom likes they have younger residents around her age.

Older building. Needs upgrades.

My tour of the Heather Estates went great, the place was very nice. From what I saw, the place was very well kept up and all of the people I had contact with were very nice and helpful. The reason we did not choose this community was because we were not comfortable with the area it was in.
