I absolutely love it here at Gateway. There are lots of activities, food is good, most residents are real nice and easy to get along with. The staff is wonderful. I’m friends with many residents who are awesome. Definitely worth living here.
The administrative staff of Morningside Washington, IL goes above and beyond to ensure needs are met for your loved ones. Scott went above and beyond to assist moving my parents from their apt in morton to the assisted living and then after mom passed he and his team promptly moved my dad to a unit that better fit his needs. I would highly recommend for those who could benefit from having meals and housekeeping needs met. I wish I would have thought of this much sooner as mom would have loved this years ago! The management team is committed to helping you stay in the home and out of dreaded nursing homes.
I would recommend this facility to others. The nurses are exceptional, down to the kitchen staff. Laundry could use some improvement.

For many seniors, the burden of home ownership and the upkeep of daily tasks and chores might deter them from an independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a convenient solution to this situation. Residents can continue to live their lives as they see fit while their food is prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent caregivers. There are a variety of advantages and expenses to consider while choosing an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in the care plan: private phone, Waiting list deposit, cable TV, wellness program, parking, laundry, initial assessment fee, and utilities. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include game/TV room, restaurant-style dining hall, private rental hall, community activities, golf course, transportation, healthcare center, and beauty salon & barber shop.
