I absolutely love it here at Gateway. There are lots of activities, food is good, most residents are real nice and easy to get along with. The staff is wonderful. I’m friends with many residents who are awesome. Definitely worth living here.
It was a good place for my mom. Overall experience is good loving staff and a good clean community. They kind of take you in like its your home.
My mom just spent two weeks at our home for Easter. She told of some things there that is how I rated it. Some workers are excellent but others can't read letters to her and she is blind. One of the nurses gave her friend the wrong medicine. Food good at times and other times bad. We sent her home with snacks, fruit cups that don't need refrigeration and her own salt shaker. They have a lovely front porch and she likes setting out there and walking along there. They drive her to visit my brother in a different nursing home in Canton once a week and take her to dr. Bank, grocery store once in awhile for special treats she wants to get. She could even have a pet but doesn't want one. She is pretty happy there but wishes the staff got more training and more pay so less turn over. She is getting a discounted rate as she can do most things herself except cook and clean and drive.
