St. Andrew's Assisted Living of Bridgeton
5.0

We are so thankful for and pleased with St. Andrews. They have been very caring and helpful. I appreciate the time they take to educate us on items, when needed. They always reassure when calling that nothing's urgent, but just wanting to share information. It's comforting to know my Dad is in a good, safe place that is relatively convenient for my Mom to visit daily. She loves getting to know the staff on a personal level. Thank you for your assistance in helping us choose the right place for Dad.

Cambridge House of Maryville
3.7

We chose Cambridge House of Maryville because it was recommended to us through family members, they said that it was a well-managed facility. The room sizes here are good, but I do think the kitchen could use some more space. Overall, it is a small community and everyone gets along well here. I would and have recommended for the deaf community. I do think they need an interpreter here to help with communication, that would be very helpful.

Keystone Place at Richland Creek in O'Fallon, IL
5.0

So happy with Keystone!! It is the best independent living, assisted living, and memory I have seen in the area. The facility is just beautiful, and there is so much to do. But it is the quality of the people who work there and take care of your loved one who make the difference. There is so much compassion from the staff. I am so thrilled both my parents are at Keystone.

Complete guide to independent living

Bethalto, Illinois

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with a handy equilibrium between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with the basic tasks of housekeeping and chores. Occupants may use their free time as they desire while their food is cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and recreational activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they choose. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent health care professionalls. There are a variety of benefits and expenditures to balance while selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the care plan: internet access, transportation, wellness program, initial assessment fee, move-in fee, private phone, parking, and utilities. The luxuries associated with independent living include laundry service, restaurant-style dining hall, golf course, private rental hall, community activities, security guards, concierge services, and transportation.
