St. Andrew's Assisted Living of Bridgeton
5.0

We are so thankful for and pleased with St. Andrews. They have been very caring and helpful. I appreciate the time they take to educate us on items, when needed. They always reassure when calling that nothing's urgent, but just wanting to share information. It's comforting to know my Dad is in a good, safe place that is relatively convenient for my Mom to visit daily. She loves getting to know the staff on a personal level. Thank you for your assistance in helping us choose the right place for Dad.

Cambridge House of Maryville
3.7

We chose Cambridge House of Maryville because it was recommended to us through family members, they said that it was a well-managed facility. The room sizes here are good, but I do think the kitchen could use some more space. Overall, it is a small community and everyone gets along well here. I would and have recommended for the deaf community. I do think they need an interpreter here to help with communication, that would be very helpful.

this is a first class place. excellent for the amount you pay. the only complaint is the consistency of the food quality. it all depends on who is cooking from day to day

Alton, Illinois

Independent Living

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but the financial burden of home ownership might deter them from enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a convenient solution to this situation. Basic needs such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with private care providers as desired. There are a number of advantages and expenditures to consider while determining an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are covered in the care plan: housekeeping, private phone, field trips, internet access, parking, move-in fee, utilities, and cable TV. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include community activities, transportation, laundry service, fitness center & swimming pool, golf course, healthcare center, game/TV room, and private rental hall.
