Avalon Park Independent Living

I moved here when I sold my house. My husband had died and I didn't like being alone. My son found Avalon Park and he lives close by making it so convenient. The service is topnotch. I am very happy with my decision. It leaves me with a good feeling every day.

I've only been here for a couple of months. My son lives in the area and recommended it to me. I'm very pleased with living here. Even the church my son recommended is close by and they take us to church. I appreciate the music and special entertainment that come in two times a week plus all of the games and activities are something I enjoy. The meals are very special as well and the employees are very helpful with everything.

Coming from my home, this was like a new world. I have adjusted well. I enjoyed my time here and I'm thankful that I live close to my family now. There is always something to do. If I want to be busy, it's easy to find activities to do.

Hi [name removed]. Really, I'm completely satisfied with Avalon. 5 on everything with one exception - meals. And I'm only talking about this from an ideal perspective. I wish ALL meals were provided. Both Mom and I love the place. (It will be more expensive next year, but I don't know how to argue that as I don't know the costs, etc.)

The size of the community (smallish) made it obvious that everyone mattered, everyone seemed to feel included, and everyone was known by name.

I have lived here at Avalon Park for 1 year and I am very happy here. Everyone is cheerful. The staff is always available to help you anytime you ask! If you prefer quiet time, you can have that. But if you like to get out and about, the day trips are alot of fun. They have craft time several times a week and entertainment comes in at least twice a week! We are always looking for people to come play cards with us! Come see how friendly it is!!

Staff is excellent! Most people are friendly, lots of musical entertainment. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families.

I have loved this place since the first day I walked in, and I haven't changed my mind. I love the staff! The owner, [name removed], is just wonderful. [name removed] and [name removed] are so accommodating, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The residents are very friendly and easy to get along with. I thank God every night that I live here. My son found this place for me, and I am so thankful for that. He lives closely, so it's just perfect. It is affordable and has everything I need. I have a bestie here and have made many great friends here. The apartments are very nice, and the housekeepers do a great job of keeping it clean. I would recommend Avalon Park to everyone!

I have been here almost 3 years and it is the best move I made. The staff and residents are wonderful and friendly. Great entertainment and craft classes! and the food is good too! They will take you wherever you have to go example grocery stores, doctor's appointments, wineries, shopping, resale shops or whatever you need within a 10 mile radius

What we like the most about this community is all the activities they have for the residents as well as the meals that are prepared. We would absolutely recommend Avalon Park Independent Living to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

We chose Avalon Park because of how helpful the staff was and how new it was. The staff always greats you with a smile and is very helpful.

One of the best staffs I have encountered. They are polite, helpful-often go out of their way to accommodate. Housekeeping cleans once a month and will do a lot of extras if asked. AP has a monthly Townhall where we get the latest update and can ask questions. They have a very good contact with a mover, which I used and was not very expensive. The move in coordinator is very good and things usually go smoothly. The maintenance team is excellent and will assist with apartment issues quickly or assisting in things you may not be able to move. Meals are very good 99% of the time. Everyone can't be pleased 100% of the time. We have a resident dinning Committee, which meets once a month. The chefs try their best to accommodate requests, if cost and talent allow. I would recommend Avalon Park if anyone is interested in senior independent living.

We picked the location due to proximity to family, as well as the building being new. . Feedback from my loved one is that the food is cold and that the quality is very poor. I am a health nut and when I go through the dining room and see all the sugary choices for the elderly, it truly makes me sick to my stomach. this is something that needs to change, nationwide, and worldwide.

I think that Avalon Park Independent Living is a great facility, I would highly recommend to others. It is only 3 years old and the apartments have washers and dryers in the units, those were the main reasons I chose to live here.

Avalon Park is very friendly, from the residents to the staff, everyone cares and it shows. I think it's extremely impressed that the staff addresses everyone by their name from the day we move in. The dining experience is nice. Our food is great, but not perfect. However, when there is ever an issue, the staff is eager to fix it. I really like that we have a monthly town hall with an open forum. This is important because we get to voice what we like and if we have suggestions, our executive director addresses those needs immediately.

There is a community within this community. Everyone checks on each other and genuinely care about each other. It feels like family! There are so many things that I like about Avalon Park... Everyday you can go downstairs and find things to do. The program director and her assistant help us with projects; and will go the extra mile for anyone. Everyone leaves feeling good about what they have done. The food is outstanding! The menu has 2 pages of options and you will not go hungry.

My experience here has been wonderful! The residents and the staff are very friendly. Everyone looks out for each other and happy to help. I enjoy the activities. Wii bowling and crafts are my favorite. The program director and her assistant are always coming up with new things to do. There is a variety of entertainment and every group is very good! I highly recommend Avalon Park!

I have enjoyed my experience living here very much. I don't drive anymore, and it's nice to have transportation whenever I need it. I've met lots of people and become friends with them. Living here has been very convenient and just an easy place to live. There is always something to occupy me here. I enjoy playing the card games and having the entertainment right here in the building. There are friendships and bonds created here.

I love it here! My daughter is very close to me, so she can stop by anytime. There are lots of activities to participate in and I am never bored. I like that I can do what I want and there is a bus that will take us just about anywhere we request.

Our experience here has been excellent. The people are so helpful and very supportive! We have really enjoyed the activities and the happy hours. We have met alot of great people. In fact, my wife and I have become very good friends with some other residents. Overall, this has been a wonderful experience.
