Independent Living
I would recommend this facility as they are caring, loving people that treat the residents like family. The place is a good fit for someone who loves the outdoor environment.
I would reccomend Brookdale Palmer Ranch to others, with a couple of provisions. If the person in question can get around on there own and likes to go outside, then another location would be better. A place with a secure outside area. Do not use a location that caters to memory care only. If at all possible, make the living quarters private, not shared. Pick a place that is bright, not dim. If the person in question can be moved to a location where family can visit on a regular basis, by all means do so.
We moved our father into Heron East and we were surprised at how the staff went over and above to make him feel comfortable and cared for. The move in was easy, the food is great and he has made some new friends.
