Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles

Our mom is thriving at Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles. She has received the best, most respectful support and care. We are overwhelmingly pleased with all facets including the staff, facility and programming. The small homelike environment assisted our mom with the transition to assisted living. We consider Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles our extended family and friends!

All of the staff go above and beyond., they wear more than one hat and always have a smile on. They are approachable, compassionate and professional. This is my mother’s second facility (moved from New England 4 months ago) and I am quite pleased at how happy she is here. The physical and emotional care are outstanding, along with the communication . If my mother doesn’t show up for an activity, a staff member will go to room and see if she needs a reminder or encourage her to attend the activity.

Brookdale PGI has been a good fit for my mom. Prior to moving to Brookdale PGI she was living in her own home. I was concerned about her being home alone and felt that a structured environment with regular meals and activities would be a good idea. It was becoming harder for me to "fill in" for her and keep an eye on things since I have a full time job. Mom is doing exceptionally well and has remarkably improved since she has moved to Brookdale PGI. She is happy and comfortable and gets a lot of individual attention and personal care. She really enjoys socializing with everyone - both staff and residents spend quality time with her. Everyone is so nice. Mom thinks Brookdale PGI is her home and she is right!

After stays at several other facilities, I feel that my 94-year-old Mom has found her true home. Management is very friendly, professional and responsive. The nursing staffing is exceptional. They monitor the health and well being of my Mom and partner with her health professionals to address any issues. They keep me in the loop on all matters and we work together to make sure my Mom is happy and healthy. I can't say enough about the care staff. They treat each resident like treasured family members with their care and compassion. My Mom loves the lectures, the outings, the parties, and of course, Bingo. This is the happiest I have seen her in a long time and it provides me with a wonderful sense of calm and peace of mind.

We never looked at another residence once we found BROOKDALE PG ISLES. [name removed], the Sales and Marketing Director, was very pleasant and worked hard to make my dad’s move-in affordable. She patiently handled some interesting family dynamics. We are thrilled with the level of care Dad received and are VERY impressed that there is hardly any turnover of staff. That is unheard of in this industry. Last year, the residents had to be evacuated because of Hurricane Ian. For 3 weeks the PG Isles staff lived with the residents at another BROOKDALE location. The residents were more than well taken care of and every precaution was put into place to insure that they returned to a facility that was safe and sound. In my professional life I have the opportunity to go into many assisted living facilities and I can honestly say that BROOKDALE PG Isles level of nursing, nutrition and nurture are far superior than 99% of the places I have visited!!!

I had time to look and many places for my mom. I felt from the minute I met [name removed] I just knew it was the right fit. My mom is not the easiest to please. I was happy to see her quick adjustment and more importantly she likes living at Brookdale.The staff is warm and cares about the residents.

This is my mom’s home, she is safe,happy and loved here! the staff truly cares for the residents It is always clean and inviting ,bright and airy. Everyone know our names and are welcoming when I visit!

When I started the search for an Assisted Living community for my parent, I was referred to several new communities in the Punta Gorda area. As I toured, it was easy to become enamored with the chandeliers, elevators and sheer size of the buildings but I was looking for something that money can't buy. I wanted to walk into a community and feel the warmth of a loving and caring homelike setting. I needed to make sure my mother would be treated like family, feel safe, secure and recognized as the wonderful person she is not just a number. I found all of those things at Brookdale on PGI. As I entered the community, I saw residents talking and laughing with the staff. While I toured with [name removed] , the Sales Mgr, she explained that everything is personalized for each resident, from the dining menu to the activities and everything in between! As we walked, I spoke with residents who all echoed the same sentiment... they loved living there and the staff was wonderful, caring and devoted.

I stopped by Brookdale PGI last November to donate some jigsaw puzzles; while handing over the donation, I asked if they needed volunteers. The team was extremely friendly and made me feel so welcome that I became a volunteer a week later. It is now the next summer and the residents have become so dear to me that I consider them my friends! If I do not get to visit them for a week or two, I truly miss them. They have so many diverse backgrounds and interests - we keep each other entertained by simply enjoying conversations or joining in on planned activities. I treasure my time at Brookdale and can honestly say the folks that work there truly care about these residents. It is a beautiful thing! If and when my mom needs to move to an assisted living facility, I can only hope we find her a place like Brookdale PGI!

They have a lot of activities, and monthly open houses for family with refreshments and entertainment. The staff is caring and courteous. There is no major improvements I can think of with the food, my loved one just never really seemed impressed with it. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles to others.

I am a snowbird from Rochester, New York. I came to Brookdale PGI in January, and it has been a wonderful experience! My time here has been so exiting! The activities have been fun and interesting. Never does a day go by that I don't participate in one or more of the activities. The staff are welcoming, friendly, caring and so much fun to spend time with. I am a vegetarian and have been impressed with the quality and variety of food. My needs have been met remarkably well!! As my time winds down, I am sad to be leaving my new found friends, both staff and residents. I am already looking forward to returning next winter!!! I absolutely love the small, warm and loving atmosphere at Brookdale PGI, it's like a real family!!!

I have been overwhelmingly pleased with the excellent staff and friendly residents. It is everything and more that the Sales Director, [name removed] promised me!! The food is excellent and Chef [name removed] goes out of his way to accommodate my special diet. I recently helped prepare a butterfly garden which I know all will enjoy and much to my delight am helping organize a talent show. I would recommend this community to everyone!! Come see for yourself!!!

We chose Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles because during our tour, we could tell that the people who lived there seemed to be very happy. I trust the staff to give quality care to my mother in law. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

100% satisfied with Brookdale - We just moved my mother to Brookdale from another facility off of Kings Highway. At the other facility my mom rarely left her room except for the occasional meal. At Brookdale she leaves her room several times a day to participate in the activities and partake in the delicious meals. The difference between the two facilities was night and day Dash my mom has turned from basically being a recluse, to being a social butterfly

Moved mother inLaw in on Sunday. 1st day she met her neighbor who knocked on door with and intoducion to [name removed]. Mom wanted lunch with the family but ate dinner with [name removed]. Such a lovely lady. Place is extremely clean. No smells what so ever. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. As a CNA in Illinois since 2010 I’m glad to say I’m eager to see if I can get a job there. It’s like ONE big family. There’s not one sad face in there. Unlike the home I worked in for and a half years. Call buttons are answer quickly. Mom loves it. She was quite apprehensive in going. I’m sleeping well at night knowing she gets the kindness that her son and I have given her for past 3 years. Due to a recent stroke I needed time to heal snd therapy which would be difficult to take her with. I DEFINITELY recommend this place as I am calmer snd dm taking time to heal myself. Honestly I don’t think mom will want to leave such a great place that has fun filled activities during the day which keeps her mind going
