Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles

We met a staff member outside while searching for the best assisted living spots in the area and her graciousness and attention to detail was evident from the first moment we spoke.The facility is comfortable, clean, and the warm atmosphere is a place that I would choose if I were living there myself. The staff is genuinely caring and professional. My Aunt, who has the option to live wherever she wants, loves her new home, and the staff at Brookdale.

My mom has been at Brookdale PGI for a little over 2 months now. I can"t say enough wonderful things about this facility. My mom was reticent about Assisted Living, but she is so happy here. We looked at a few newer and larger places in the area. My mom chose Brookdale because of its smaller size, "family feel" and sense of community. And how right she was! The care is tremendous, the staff a great combo of professionalism and genuinely caring personalities. She finds it so easy to navigate to her meals and activities. I feel so reassured that she is receiving the best care. Thank you Brookdale for being a great place for my mom.

From the moment that I was greeted at the front door I knew that Brookdale PGI was the perfect place for my Dad. I had visited numerous facilities from Lee County to Sarasota County. Many of the facilities were larger and offered more amenities but none of them offered the comforts of home like Brookdale PGI. You have to look through the “smoke and mirrors” and realize that the caregivers, office staff, nurses and chef are the most important elements. My Dad received excellent care. The caregivers were there for him and made sure that he had everything he needed. The nurses are exceptional. Everyday that I visited Dad he had a smile on his face. We had to madly search around for a place and contacted [name removed] here at Brookdale. Immediately we knew this was the place for mom to go. she helped us in many ways and made sure we were doing the right thing her. As soon as we walked in - everyone was to happy and talkative and it really felt like a home place. our mother has greatly improved since being there! and we don't have to worry about anything. everyone is so supportive, the staff and the residents!! totally the right decision for us. and it's on the smaller side which we appreciate.

There was a time when I had to find a place for a relative before they could be released from the hospital. After having to make that decision for them, I knew I wanted to make that decision for myself before it was needed. I’ve made a point of visiting facilities and Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles is at the top of my list. There are many considerations that go into that decision but the main one is the impression management and staff left with me. It is obvious they truly care about the residents and their quality of life.

In 2021, at the age of 88, my widowed mother-in-law moved into her beautifully, redecorated room at Brookdale Assisted Living in Punta Gorda Isles. Once there, she became involved with daily activities. She was able to bring her two-tiered electric organ and loves to play music for the residents. Moving in has brought her new life, new friendships, and now feels she has a purpose for living! As her family, we have peace of mind knowing all her needs are being met for by dedicated and professional staff members. She receives three healthy meals a day, all housekeeping needs are met, has weekly hairdresser appointments, and attends Sunday church service. Another thing we love is the size of the facility. Everything is on one level, no stairs to climb, and that makes it easier for her to move around from place to place! Our family gives Brookdale Assisted Living a high rating and would greatly recommend it for your loved ones.

My mom had a series of medical issues that necessitated her move to an independent living facility followed by an assisted living facility. She originally moved to a larger and brand new facility after her medical issues. While the facility was brand new, we soon found that my mom was getting lost within the larger confines of the new facility. She was unhappy and generally uninvolved in the community, which was routinely devoid of people. As a result, we started looking at other options, leading us to the Brookdale. My mom loved the Brookdale from the first time she saw it with us, as did we! The minute we walked in, the difference was obvious. The staff and residents were visible, with residents occupying a number of the sitting and recreational spots at the facility. Step forward to today, my mom has met so many more people through the amazing and encouraging staff. She is happy there, and the attention she is getting is superb! We love this great small community!

My 87 mother in law loves Brookdale! We looked at other places, but after touring Brookdale PGI, we were very impressed. She has been there for about10 months and loves the small family feel of the facility. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. They give her the one on one time that she needs. She also loves that it’s one level and makes it easy to navigate. My husband and I have never been through this before and the transition was seamless with the help from the staff.

Brookdale of Punta Gorda, Florida is a small Assisted Living facility located in Punta Gorda, Florida. They have only 43 units and they are in demand. The caregivers, nurses, maintenance, marketing folks, and administration are like family. Their turnover is slight as they all consider this Brookdale facility to be a great place to work. They treat all of the senior residents like family, offering cheerful assistance at every opportunity. They genuinely care and take pride in their reputation. My wife's mother is 95 years young and though it was a struggle getting her to give up her condo and move close to us a year ago, she now considers it to be a great move. She enjoys the staff and the other residents, and she is busy as ever with activities.

Our mom is thriving at Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles. She has received the best, most respectful support and care. We are overwhelmingly pleased with all facets including the staff, facility and programming. The small homelike environment assisted our mom with the transition to assisted living. We consider Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles our extended family and friends!

All of the staff go above and beyond., they wear more than one hat and always have a smile on. They are approachable, compassionate and professional. This is my mother’s second facility (moved from New England 4 months ago) and I am quite pleased at how happy she is here. The physical and emotional care are outstanding, along with the communication . If my mother doesn’t show up for an activity, a staff member will go to room and see if she needs a reminder or encourage her to attend the activity.

Brookdale PGI has been a good fit for my mom. Prior to moving to Brookdale PGI she was living in her own home. I was concerned about her being home alone and felt that a structured environment with regular meals and activities would be a good idea. It was becoming harder for me to "fill in" for her and keep an eye on things since I have a full time job. Mom is doing exceptionally well and has remarkably improved since she has moved to Brookdale PGI. She is happy and comfortable and gets a lot of individual attention and personal care. She really enjoys socializing with everyone - both staff and residents spend quality time with her. Everyone is so nice. Mom thinks Brookdale PGI is her home and she is right!

After stays at several other facilities, I feel that my 94-year-old Mom has found her true home. Management is very friendly, professional and responsive. The nursing staffing is exceptional. They monitor the health and well being of my Mom and partner with her health professionals to address any issues. They keep me in the loop on all matters and we work together to make sure my Mom is happy and healthy. I can't say enough about the care staff. They treat each resident like treasured family members with their care and compassion. My Mom loves the lectures, the outings, the parties, and of course, Bingo. This is the happiest I have seen her in a long time and it provides me with a wonderful sense of calm and peace of mind.

We never looked at another residence once we found BROOKDALE PG ISLES. [name removed], the Sales and Marketing Director, was very pleasant and worked hard to make my dad’s move-in affordable. She patiently handled some interesting family dynamics. We are thrilled with the level of care Dad received and are VERY impressed that there is hardly any turnover of staff. That is unheard of in this industry. Last year, the residents had to be evacuated because of Hurricane Ian. For 3 weeks the PG Isles staff lived with the residents at another BROOKDALE location. The residents were more than well taken care of and every precaution was put into place to insure that they returned to a facility that was safe and sound. In my professional life I have the opportunity to go into many assisted living facilities and I can honestly say that BROOKDALE PG Isles level of nursing, nutrition and nurture are far superior than 99% of the places I have visited!!!

I had time to look and many places for my mom. I felt from the minute I met [name removed] I just knew it was the right fit. My mom is not the easiest to please. I was happy to see her quick adjustment and more importantly she likes living at Brookdale.The staff is warm and cares about the residents.

This is my mom’s home, she is safe,happy and loved here! the staff truly cares for the residents It is always clean and inviting ,bright and airy. Everyone know our names and are welcoming when I visit!

When I started the search for an Assisted Living community for my parent, I was referred to several new communities in the Punta Gorda area. As I toured, it was easy to become enamored with the chandeliers, elevators and sheer size of the buildings but I was looking for something that money can't buy. I wanted to walk into a community and feel the warmth of a loving and caring homelike setting. I needed to make sure my mother would be treated like family, feel safe, secure and recognized as the wonderful person she is not just a number. I found all of those things at Brookdale on PGI. As I entered the community, I saw residents talking and laughing with the staff. While I toured with [name removed] , the Sales Mgr, she explained that everything is personalized for each resident, from the dining menu to the activities and everything in between! As we walked, I spoke with residents who all echoed the same sentiment... they loved living there and the staff was wonderful, caring and devoted.

I stopped by Brookdale PGI last November to donate some jigsaw puzzles; while handing over the donation, I asked if they needed volunteers. The team was extremely friendly and made me feel so welcome that I became a volunteer a week later. It is now the next summer and the residents have become so dear to me that I consider them my friends! If I do not get to visit them for a week or two, I truly miss them. They have so many diverse backgrounds and interests - we keep each other entertained by simply enjoying conversations or joining in on planned activities. I treasure my time at Brookdale and can honestly say the folks that work there truly care about these residents. It is a beautiful thing! If and when my mom needs to move to an assisted living facility, I can only hope we find her a place like Brookdale PGI!

They have a lot of activities, and monthly open houses for family with refreshments and entertainment. The staff is caring and courteous. There is no major improvements I can think of with the food, my loved one just never really seemed impressed with it. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles to others.
