We have only been here for 7 months and in that time we have seen 3 Directors, 2RNs, 2 Activity Directors and without a full time maintenance person. There is no follow up from management and lack of open and honest communication with families on what is going on there. Only when pushed and with multiple issues with laundry that we were told several of the washers and dryers aren’t working. They seem so concerned with managing costs and budgets that quality of care is an after thought and secondary concern. Please consider carefully before placing your love ones in their care.

Response from Wyndham Court of Plano
January 6, 2023Patricia, we thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our community. We sincerely appreciate any concern brought to our attention and desire to resolve every one promptly and professionally. Be assured, providing exceptional care and a vibrant lifestyle to our residents is always our top priority. This focus necessitates that we go through seasons of change on occasion. You’ve described one such season in your review with some recent employee turnover, including one of our endearing directors that left due to health reasons, and others who have made some career changes. Our management adapts to changing conditions by working hard in recruitment to make our teams stronger and even better for our residents. To be sure we’re very excited and thankful for new hires joining our community staff and for brighter days ahead, including some shiny bright new appliances replacing those few in disrepair. Please know that the front door to our office and our community is always open. We welcome the opportunity to visit with you further about the care we seek to offer and how we can strive to make it even better.
We loved Wyndham Court. Even though we were only there a few days, they bent over backward for us. We'll recommend them to anyone interested. They were kind and caring and helped us at every turn.

Response from Wyndham Court of Plano
January 6, 2023Thank you for such a thoughtful review, which you wrote during the busy holiday season! What an encouragement to our team! We love hearing from our resident's family members and will do our best to live into the impression you received from your recent visit!
We didn't care for the set up as the memory care was upstairs and not on the first floor.
Our family had an in person tour and the community itself was just beautiful and it was extremely clean. However the bedrooms themselves were quite confined - there was really only room for a mounted tv, twin bed, night stand and a chair. So for our loved one that was not going to work out. However the lady who led us on the tour was absolutely fantastic and was so knowledgeable. She new this was not going to be the place for us and she even gave us other questions/advise to ask other communities and we just really appreciated that
Too expensive for what benefits one receives. Rent raised to accommodate needed updates on property.

Hope greeted me when I arrived for my scheduled tour. She was very gracious and patient in listening to my family situation and concerns regarding my mother. Hope was able to answer all my questions. The facility was clean and has a relaxed atmosphere. The residents that I encountered seem comfortable and pleasant. They seem to have a nice rapport with the staff. I was pleased with the facility.

The staff itself was the reason that we chose Brookdale. They are so sincere and caring. They even visited my loved one in physical therapy before we even made our decision. They personalize the care to make feel like family. The food there is great, and my husband and I love the cookies!

My mother really likes the meals provided in the Brookdale. She says they are much better than the place she was at before. The lady that helps me from the administration has been very good if I have any questions or concerns she gets back to me right away. We are happy with the way things are going so far.

This is a nice facility, and my tour of it went well. Everything appeared to be clean, and well maintained. The staff was kind to my family, and myself. It was a pleasant experience. There were many factors that played into where to move my father too. Unfortunately the location of this community was too far for us to travel too.

Clean, nice appearing community, but a bit pricey. They do not provide transportation to dialysis and I was told that dialysis patients do not need a special diet. Unfortunately, these were deal-breaker items. The food that a dialysis patient eats is probably the most critical component of their healthcare ... other than the dialysis.

This is a nice community that is very. The staff was nice and caring. We were happy that our questions were answered. I did not see activities that could be offered. The menu seemed to be appealing. The community was nice and clean. I did want a bigger community, but would suggest families seek there own opinion for care. \

The community has been a good fit for my mother in law. She is still getting acclimated to the place, but they take very good care of her. She has a steady nurse that helps her and tends to her needs. The building is always kept very clean, no complaints. The only time I have tried the meals is when we first moved into the community. They were very good and portioned well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good comfortable place for their loved one.

I am happy with the care that is provided here. I had our first meeting with the staff. I suggested they make home cooked meals, food that is familiar to the residents. I would really liked to see a change. I have also heard other Brookdales provide transportation, this place only helps if it is once in awhile appointments. Otherwise my dad is attempting some activities and the staff have been wonderful.

We would drive farther away just to avoid going to this community. We did not like the way the staff interacted with some of the residents. The rooms they showed us belonged to residents that still lived there but were not currently home. This community is terrible.
