They are not so good with the activities. We picked this community, becasue it afforded my loved one, the opportunity to bring a dog, we liked the people and I talked to them on the phone. They need to figure out how, mt loved can spend more time with independent people or add more physical activities. They are doing their best, to do whatever they can. They have bee very helpful. My loved one is lucky to be there and appreciates it. I would recommend to other families.... Read more

We had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at this facility. My mother-in-law spent 29 days at the Healthcare and Rehab Center. During this time she spent 4 nights in the hospital for a severe UTI. The facility/staff were negligent on recognizing her symptoms of disorientation and confusion. Upon her return it was 2 days before the bathed her, got her dressed and out of the hospital gown, and only at my persistence. There’s a high turnover rate and overcrowding. The nurses and dr are terrible communicators. The nurses were not helpful and one has a terrible bed side manner. We had several ignored emails and phone calls. Still waiting on results from urinalysis ordered on 4/18, it’s now 11 days later. The dr is a complete disappointment. Our family has only spoken to him ONCE during her whole stay, again 29 days. We have requested him to call us and answer questions, he never responded. Again communication at this facility is horrible! The best part are the aides, but I don’t recommend this facility!

I am writing this on behalf of my friend who was at this facility briefly. They did not want to take her in initially because the antibiotics that she was prescribed for her infected hip replacement were "too expensive". So the infectious disease doctor changed the formula of the antibiotic to make it less expensive. Big mistake. Legacy at Willow Bend took my friend at the lower cost of the antibiotic, A few days later, my friend had to be readmitted to the hospital and have surgery to "wash out" the wound. The lower cost antibiotic did not work for her. The new infectious disease doctor changed the formula back to what it should have been originally which was more expensive. Because of this, Legacy at Willow Bend would not let her come back! They are all about $$. Very sad. Unless you have deep pockets, forget about this place.

The Legacy At Willow Bend community has been providing exceptional services to my husband. There are activities offered but at the moment he is not participating in any. His meals are nutritious he is getting fed through a feeding tube and seems to be doing fine so far. I like that the staff communicate well with me and most importantly i feel that he is safe.

We toured this location when we were looking into options for our loved one. It looked like a nice place, it was clean and well kept, and the staff and residents all looked friendly and happy. This was definitely an option we were considering, although we ended up choosing one more conveniently located for us.

A Place for Mom has scored The Legacy at Willow Bend 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
