I would definitely recommend the complex. It's more like a family than anything else. The staff is wonderful, so helpful and pleasant. My mom had barely moved in and they already take care of her like they are her mother. But this isn't actually a facility per se, it's an apartment building so they don't really do housekeeping or food. They have an Activities Director that offers activities for the residents. Any time my mom has an issue with maintenance, they're there almost immediately. She is very happy that the maintenance people are on site. At her last apartment building, she had to wait a couple of days to have someone address her concerns.

Everything she needed in one place. Everyone is very friendly! Trips are planned. Parties, movie nights. Bus trips to different places to shop. Mondays are bank day. Everyone gets to go to their bank. Tuesday is grocery shopping day & lunch. Most days are going somewhere if you don't drive.

My loved one overall likes the other residents there, and says they are very nice to her and the office staff is friendly. There is no staff in the evening, no instructions on the phone system for guests to gain entry, No "door tag" program for safety, in house physician is no longer accepting new patients, trash room is filthy and smell is offensive in the hall and elevator often. Also, the office staff is not good at returning calls, there is no emergency buttons available, and just call chords which do not help if fall is within building or in resident apartment or kitchen.

When you first walk into the community it is very welcoming, open, airy and bright. The community is just really pretty. They do not have a meal service anymore but the activities there are great, they have plenty of things going on. The value is great you cannot beat it and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Westhaven Manor .

I toured this community and it was nice. It's clean, staff is friendly, it seemed like a great place. They did have a waiting list, so something to be aware of especially if you're looking for quick placement.

I really like it here aside from the size of my apartment. I was supposed to get the bigger one, and they had the smaller one ready for me in error. But the people are very friendly. They invite you to holiday celebrations. I like that my apartment has a balcony. There's an elevator up to the second floor. I didn't know this at the time, but they have emergency maintenance available if you need it. There's central air if you need it. I feel safe here, and it's a nice place.

This is a wonderful friendly place for your loved one. With the cost provides wonderful service and just a good place to live at. They have birthday events and live music here and there but it is limited due to covid at this time but they do what they can.

I just moved in December 2021 put a work order in 3days after move in I waited and waited put another work order in I’ve put in over 4x’s and also went down to the office and told 2 staff members what needed to be fixed still no maintenance is done!!!!! Then we have several tenants who keeps stealing my cable streaming using all of my accounts keeps changing my passwords and messing with the wires in the apartment complex and I have notified management and nothing is being done about these issues. There are some SCAMMERS/HACKERS that claim to be Investigators but if they really are why do “THEY STEAL” ????? It’s a whole lot of things going on in this apartment complex that needs to be addressed but no one will speak up hum I wonder why!!!!!

We have encountered staffing shortages due to Covid-19 illnesses, but we are working through primary sources for staffing coverage along with sourcing out to sister communities and third-party contractors for assistance. As with many other industries, we are also feeling the impact of the staffing shortages due to low numbers of those seeking employment, but we are working diligently to have these resolved along with your maintenance work orders. For the cable/internet streaming, we do have a community internet that we provide that is available for our residents and guests for light internet use. Any recent cable or internet representative who has been on site recently was an official contractor from their organization working with us with any recent problems. If you are having any issues with your own cable and internet, we would recommend reaching out to your cable and internet provider for additional information and assistance. You can see the active devices utilizing your internet by accessing your router/modem. If you would like to speak more on the matter, we are available in the office at 734-729-3690 and would be happy to resolve your concerns.
I'm very happy here. I like the location. They keep the grounds up well. They do maintenance in the apartments, change out the filters, etc. And if you have a problem, they take care of it. They're just starting to get back into activities after Covid. They're very conscious about Covid here. The only problem I've had is I do not have my rent automatically taken out of my bank account, and when I slipped a cashier's check under the door, they didn't see it and said I had not paid the rent. So I had to take care of that with my bank. And I also had a carport that I rented, which I found out later I could not use. And they were still adding it to my rent. But overall they were reasonable in handling resolutions.

The facility was very nice and staff were accommodating, but it had multi-levels which was not going to workout for my loved one.

The staff are very friendly and our loved one doesn't always take advantage of the activities but they have a lot to offer, plenty of opportunities to get involved. It is a little bit over prices but all in all it is one of the cheapest and we would recommend the community to others.

Westhaven Manor is a beautiful place. I thought they were excellent. The woman who led our tour was amazing. I loved her. She went above and beyond. She spent about an hour and a half with me, touring several apartments. The price was very economical. The apartments were beautiful and clean, and only about $1000 a month. What I loved about their pricing system is it was all a la carte. They had different meal plans and different care plans to choose from based on your loved one's needs. So you're not paying for things they don't need or aren't using. I wanted to put my loved one here, but another family member got involved who was worried it would be too expensive. That along with the fact that it was just a little too far away led us to choose a different community. But I thought Westhaven was a beautiful place.
