No working intercom system. Resident must walk down to door to let visitor in during evening through morning. No automatic handicap door access at ALL. The hallways are uneven & there are no handrails at ALL. The balconies are falling off the building. This can be seen from the parking lot. The floors of the balconies are rotten and brittle. Lots of uneven sidewalk slabs that they spray paint with neon green spray paint to warn the residents its dangerous instead of fixing them. Every year there are more and more spray painted sidewalk slabs. They no longer offer food/dining. They no longer offer any activities other than what the residents put together themselves. There is a part time manager (they float between other complexes the company owns) and a maintenance man during the day. No other staff onsite. This place is NOT safe for any elderly people.

After 2 very bad experiences with 2 assisted living facilities in the area, I was more knowledgeable in seeking out a facility that would give good care 24/7. Past facilities gave my loved one poor care. There was constant overturn of staff, including the Directors, Chefs, resident assistants, and nurses. Escalating rates for monthly charges were common.. When I walked into Plymouth Terrace, I was greeted by the Director, who was a RN.. Then I went on a tour and met 2 more nurses. I learned they have nurses 24/7!! That is HUGE! Nurses give the meds and supervise the care; that is how I believe it should be! In the other facilities, med techs with minimal training give meds! The rooms are all studios, not apartments like the past 2 places. I can live with that. The studios are more than adequate in size. By the way, my loved one's monthly rate went down over $2000, making it a winner. The meals are quality, and varied. I am grateful I have found Plymouth Terrace!

Being a smaller and family owned communityI think they are more personable. Everyone there is super nice. They know my loved one. We trust them. In fact, just recently, our loved one was in the hospital. When the ambulance took him back to Plymouth Inn, the aides passed me running down the hallway to go and see him and welcome him back. He had the biggest smile on his face to be greeted that way. With in a hour of him being back, he had some of the kitchen staff in his room welcoming him back as well as other residents and family members of other residents. We especially like the fact that there is a nurse there 24 hours and not just in the daytime hours. We also very much like the physician assistant that is there weekly. Any concerns or questions are addressed promptly. It's not a super fancy place, but there's nothing wrong with it either.

Our family had an in person tour and the building itself is really nice as well as the amenities. Upon walking in everything looked nice but we did not see any type of movement whatsoever. The residents we did see were in the classic nursing home state sitting in chairs and zoned out. We just did not like it at all.
This would be a good place for rehab. This seemed more like a nursing home than assisted living. They have friendly staff.
we toured Plymouth Terrace and thought it was great. we had two loved ones needing an apartment, and the rooms they had available were too small. we chose another community because Plymouth did not have what we were looking for.
I loved this community. It was amazing but it was out of my loved ones budget. The tour was wonderful residents looked happy just something that would not work out for us being on private pay.
They have taken very good care of my loved one. They're doing a good job with medication management, and his health is under control. He seems happy there. They provide all the services he needs. Because he is maybe more with it than some of the other residents, he could use more stimulation/activities. The food is good overall, better some days than others. They are accommodating if there's something he doesn't like. All he has to do is ask for something else and they'll make it for him. Plymouth Terrace was a good choice for my loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Plymouth Terrace Senior Living 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
