I would want others to know that my mother was in the memory care part of Waterford Estates. I sent her here with the hope they would know more than I did while taking care of her, but that was not the case. They called me about everything and put all of it on me. I hope that they can do a better job with other peoples family members than they did with mine. They were not very good with communication and I believe that is key. I was really looking for a facility where they would treat my mother as she was one of their family members and this was not the case with this facility.

My brother really likes it here, they have been extremely helpful with all of his needs. Some staff have gone above and beyond. He moved from out of state so they helped me furnish his room. They offer temporary furnished rooms until their permanent room is ready which was great. They are very welcoming and helping us get his settled. My favorite part about the community so far has been how easy they made the transition. I would recommend the community.

This community is a great place. They have really been able to take care my mom. They go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this community. There are still activities out in the community areas of the Waterford Estates, this is for the memory care unit.

Waterford did a great job keeping people protected. My dad was taken care of great while we were not able to visit with him. You have to be proactive and keep an eye on things just like any place. I would believe them when they tell you don't have to worry. They have followed through on everything they have told us they would do. The food is average.

This used to be a fantastic place until the new Executive Director took over. Should have seen it coming when all of the staff started to leave. The food used to be amazing and my husband and I looked forward to sharing holiday meals with my in-laws. Now it is all processed and usually cold. Since the new director took over, an aide was helping my father-in-law in the shower. As he was getting out, she didn't notice that one foot was in the tub and the other was outside the tub. He fell and hit his head with the aide standing next to him. That was a trip to the ER. When I came back, I asked the head nurse on his floor for the incident report. There wasn't one. She wasn't even aware of what happened. This was several hours after the incident happened. When I went back the next day for it, there still was no incident report. I called the Executive Director every day for a week, and she never returned my call. A month or so later, my mother-in-law was in the patio outside. She fell. She was not hurt thankfully, but the people who work there would not even help her up. They just called an ambulance and left her on the ground outside until the paramedics got there. They then proceeded to send her to the hospital with out her walker, which was right next to her. The walker, they left on the patio. It was still there when we got back from the ER. Add to that things like one of two elevators being down for over two months. The elevator inspection being out of date for 6 months. The family Christmas party which was so poorly organized, half of the residents and their families were sitting in chairs in the lobby, and none of the people who were serving hors d'oeuvres never came out of the dining room so half of the residents and their families never got any food, even after I went into the dining room and pointed it out to them.

Beyond amazing. The employees, no matter what they're doing, always have time for the residents and treat them with respect and kindness. I can only say great things about my entire experience with them.

Mom was here for over a year. This is a very large facility with very little staff. I would avoid if your loved one actually needs any care.

So far, things are going good for my Dad here. One thing they could improve on is the service in the dining area because, by the time he gets his dinner, it’s cold. The food is good though and he seems satisfied with it. There are usually 2 or 3 choices for him to pick from, so there’s some variety. The staff is good with answering any questions or finding the answer if they don’t have one. The building itself is nice, neat, clean, and doesn’t have a weird smell. They have a few different activities available like game nights and movies. Based on our experience, I would recommend them.

This was a very nice facility but I did not pick this one for my Father because he would have been farther away from home. It would have been a whole new area that he would have to learn. The facility itself was very clean and orderly. They do offer a lot of activities but they are geared more towards a younger crowd and couples. Some of the activities include pool activities and cocktail hour. I would recommend this community to other families

Mom moved into Waterford Estates and the transition was smooth, caring, and easy. The admin staff is fantastic. The staff is patient and understands that moving into a new home as an elderly person takes time for adjustment. I highly recommend this residence.

A Place for Mom has scored Waterford Estates Senior Living 9.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
