Based on the experience our family has had with Celebrate Senior Living, they were not doing what they said before I put our loved one there. But it doesn't matter now because they are closing which is not surprising.

The meals are no good. It doesn't matter anyway since this building was sold to the government to be used for a completely different purpose and all of the current residents are being evicted and not getting any of their security deposit back. My loved one said they are still taking new residents, which is not right since they are ALL being evicted this coming year.

This organization is sleazy. Kicked all the residents at the South Holland building out. I was here 6 days and I got a call that everyone has till [date removed] to get out. Don't trust this organization at all. You might be getting the boot too.

Unfortunately, my sister and I were emotional and somewhat unsettled about having to place our father into a Memory Care Facility. There were a lot of questions that we probably could/should have asked prior to putting him in Celebrate Senior Living of South Holland. They were greatly understaffed in our estimation. The layout of the Memory Care floor is not super efficient for monitoring/attending to the needs of the residents. They assured us that they were Dementia specialists, but as certain challenges/behaviors started to develop in our father as a result of the type of Dementia that he has, they were calling me and my sister for solutions! They eventually kicked him out without letting us know. They sent him to the emergency room of a local hospital and then refused to accept him back upon discharge.

The cleanliness is satisfactory, but it could be better. Everyone is friendly. We picked this community, because of proximity to where I live and it's a good location for shopping, and getting to places without a car . The food is mediocore. It's okay and exceptional. It's more like canned food. The transportation could be better for the residents.

Celebrate of South Holland was a nice place, they were in the middle of renovating and I could tell the updates were going to look great. The independent living and assisted living portions of the facility looked good, but the memory care unit was very depressing. There was barely any furniture and the residents were all walking around talking to themselves. The gal who gave the tour was wonderful and gave us all the information we could have needed. She was pleasant to work with and has followed up a few times since then which I appreciate.
I chose Celebrate Senior living because they were having a really nice special that helped with the pricing a lot. The apartment sizes are pretty nice, I did downsize from a house so I really had to think hard about what I wanted to take. The main thing that sticks out about Celebrate is the friendly staff and residents, everyone has been super welcoming. It has been a perfect fit for me.

i toured Celebrate Senior Living and did not care for it. the furniture was outdated and it felt dark and gloomy. we chose another community because this one just didn't have that upbeat and homey feeling we were looking for.
I toured this community and thought it was a great senior (independent) and assisted living community, but I did not care for their memory care unit. The tour began with the living quarters, dining rooms, and other common areas - which were all beautiful and really nice. We were then shown the memory care unit, located in the basement. I did not particularly like the location, but in addition to that it was very small and completely separate from the other residents. There was no longer a sense of community as the memory care residents seemed hidden or forgotten about almost. We chose another community because I would not allow my loved one to live in a basement with no windows.
Our family had an in person tour and the tour was good and informational.
We chose Celebrate because we were looking for respite care and they offered that here. I think the memory portion of the place is what needed some help, but the rest of the facility looked to be fine. It was just not what I wanted for my loved one.

It is a very nice facility, it is like a big hotel. It looked clean and the residents and staff were friendly. We got to try a meal and it was really good. The only issue is because it is so big, the memory care was on the 4th floor and we wanted a facility that was all one floor.
We chose Elevate South Holland because they were more affordable, patient, and they were friendly and gave us the time that we needed. The staff here went above and beyond their job description and were very accomodating. The apartments are nice and suitable for one person. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

The food is pretty good from what I've seen from my loved one. My loved one always has more than enough portions to eat. Overall, I would recommend the community to others. The staff members that we dealt with initially after moving into the community left, and the new staff are pretty good so far.

We chose this community at the time because of the location as well as the value for the money. The room sizes here are very good, no complaints. There is a lot of turnover and shortage in staff with the CNAs and I found out depending on the requirements of your loved ones, it could be problematic. If your loved one is fairly independent, I would recommend. If they need additional care it is not ideal.

Management is horrible. There is never enough staff. Food is no longer good. Look else where if looking for a place for your loved one.

I think it is a good place. It is important to make sure they understand what you want and expect. The layout was excellent, the room size was good. They had limited outdoor space. Based on the staff I met, they were thoughtful and caring. I think a lot of things got overlooked while my dad was there because they did not understand his true care needs.

You need to look at the differences between Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living. Your loved one needs to be able to do some things on their own. The room sizes were good. The food was not good. They need to do better with cleanliness, mop the floors more, and update some of the furnishings that are getting very worn.
