In memory care, they would say my father refused showers so they would skip the shower. I would come there twice a week and find him in the same clothes I left him in and with a soiled adult diaper. I would have him get in the shower and change him. Then the pattern would repeat. I would say the assisted living is good but the memory care needs more training and oversight.

This is not a place to go if extreme care is needed. They did bring in a new person in December who has made a few changes and holds people accountable. They are fully staffed right now and that does make a difference. The facility is making some updates with paint, carpet, and common area furniture. The food is only average. I would be hesitant to recommend here. They seem to be trying harder and we may be expecting more than we should.

I still continue to go to the facility 2 times per day. Because the staff turnover is so high, there is no consistency I do, however, realize the Memory Care Unit is as about the same everywhere. It's hard to keep staff

It was a nightmare. My mom moved out of my house last year to Maple Brook, and kept falling and having heart attacks. When she moved out we weren't suppose to have anything to do with each other. I came to a roadblock when it came to finances, as I'm not her POA nor have anything to do with her finances, bills, decisions. Only reason I gave it that high of a rating [name removed] went to Brushy Creek to do paperwork with my mom The lady at the door should not be working there. Once again [name removed] saved this rating, until my last conversation when she said it was my responsibility to unpack my mother. She calls me all the time because she can't figure out her tv, or she needs her nails cut.... Seem like they try to keep them active. Exercise, church etc. It si one the cheaper options in the area

The staff at The Legacy at Southpointe Drive is amazing. My cousin lives here. He's not very easy to manage, but they make it so easy. They talk to him and convince him to do things. The housekeeping keeps everything clean. Communication with the family (me) is amazing. The only problem is the food. They are always running out of things, like no eggs or orange juice for three days. I get it, but my cousin gets mad. The food is weird: plain chicken, roast beef, burgers, hot dogs and macaroni. I spend more money having food delivered due to the meals here. Otherwise, I can't say anything bad at all about this facility. The Legacy at Southpointe Drive is, by far, the best one around and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Assisted Living may be very good. The size of the units is wonderful. The Memory Care Unit is not good. There are no (and I mean 0) activities. I really think they need to working on improving the entire memory care unit. I still go there twice a day.

We are happy with my dad being at The Legacy at Southpointe Drive. Some of the staff are better than others but it is very good overall. However based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families.

The Legacy started off very good ,very informative but after two weeks mom was expressing the lack of response when she need help. Cleanliness the facility was kept decent but had to ask the people to come vacuum the room and fix broken items too many times before the would come do it ratee Love the staff until I found out they were really not doing the job I was paying them to do untrained and not dedicated to caring of residents not all but vetted better for the sake of residents. They left my mother on the toilet all night and do shift found her sitting there no one answered the pendant no one came to check on her like they said they would do every 2 hours so I removed her from their care. Meals were okay except weekends meals were poorly prepared during the week when management was around the dinning was. Fantastic. Plenty of activities the activities manager is fantastic. The price is okay if they provided the staff that could handle the care that is being suggested that the residents receive.

We have had an excellent experience at The Legacy. My mother was not wanting to make this move. The staff have made her feel welcome and safe, they are approachable, and have done their best to make her feel like this can be her home.

[name removed] who helped us in the beginning with the paperwork was so great to work with, she was very understanding out of situation and was more then willing to answer any questions we had and anytime we would call we would get immediate responses. [name removed] who is in charge of all the nurses has been just amazing to deal with. Everyone there has done amazing work. Right when you walk into the community its so bright, clean, and no odors. You can tell they do a good job with the upkeeping of the community, it is just very inviting. The food is really good and always smells good when we come to visit. We have been very impressed and we would absolutely recommend The Legacy at Southpointe Drive community to other families.

The downstairs was nice. The rooms were small and the closet doors were coming off in the room that would have been my loved one's room. It felt more like a dorm than a home.
