So many of the staff are terrific. Think upper management could be more responsive/honest. During the recent hurricane, emergency generators went out leaving some residents without electricity for a week, no emergency lighting in stairwells (ER exits as there were no elevators), yet upper management declared there were "no problems" during the storm! Prices have increased significantly over the last 2 1/2 years though we do realize the economy has had a great deal to do with that. They can't seem to keep help so there is often a long wait between ordering food and receiving it. Meals are typically good and well presented, however kitchen frequently doesn't follow special instructions like 'no onions', 'no salt', kind of bread etc. great deal to do with that. Yes, we would recommend this facility to family/friends. Thank you to 'A Place for Mom' you were a great resource during our search!... Read more

Staff was terrific! Friendly, extremely helpful and professional! The surroundings are clean, bright and well maintained. Safety of residents are a priority. A large variety of activities to choose from and the social interaction has been so good for my Mom! Do think their food menu could be improved and that cost could be restrictive.

I thought it was a good program and a nice facility. Most of the staff were really nice. Really my only issue was with a doctor there who was very short with me and dismissive of me. And he made a medication error. But overall the care was good. They were very organized and had a good, disciplined program there. And the nurses were fantastic.

I chose Cascade Verdae because when I toured it I liked the feel of it. The room sizes are adequate. I am not a big fan of the food, but they do have a lot of variety on their menu. Everybody is very helpful and willing to help you if you are having any troubles. I would recommend.

A Place for Mom has scored Cascades Verdae 7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
