Pine Grove Senior Living

I would have to say 5 on all of them. We have been very pleased with Pine Grove and have had no complaints. They always have activities planned, it is very clean and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. I feel like the cost is reasonable compared to other facilities and I would recommend Pine Grove Senior Living to others. They are very caring and took the time out of their busy day to pay their respects at my Father-in-laws funeral. That truly meant a lot.

Id say, they keep a good eye on your parent, have plenty of activities that are engaging as well as music and worship services 2x a week. Staff is friendly, food is good. The director is very involved and nurse is awesome. Love love [name removed] at the front desk! The activities director[name removed] is very energetic and works hard to keep the residents engaged. The nurse [name removed]is very hands on and has been very involved.

Our experience at Pinegrove was extremely pleasant. The staff was very professional, kind, and caring.

Pine Grove is very cost effective, lower pricing than many other facilities we looked at initially. I absolutely love the fact that pets are included.

What we liked the most about Pine Grove is that we are happy to see [name removed] was when she was living in a place where she felt safe and not lonely or isolated. That was such a joy! Based on that experience we would absolutely recommend Pine Grove to other families.

First, there was the price increase, mere months after moving in. We’ve been unable to call our loved one on a facility phone, and he was never issued a key to protect his room. For about a year though, he was happy and stable there. Then he noticed that things were missing from his room, and quit wanting his normal snack foods, due to another client eating them. We came in several times to find this other dementia patient bloody from falls and out of sorts with the employees. Still, our family member seemed to be liked and cared for. Then came the day that our family member went to the hospital. He had sensitive documents, including financials, in his room, and wanted to take them with him. The facility refused, stating they would hold onto them. When our family member told us, we went to collect them as family and legal guardians, and were denied. They had also spent a couple days demanding we give a dementia patient a debit card. Something is seriously wrong here.

What has made it such a great experience so far is the staff and based on the experience we have had so far I would recommend this community to other families.

I would recommend it (the assisted living side). It is small enough (about 30 residents in AL) that they all know each other. They have a new director of activities who is awesome and very involved. My mother's Alzheimer's is progressing, but she often says "this is a nice hotel." Most of the residents have some type of dementia, but they look out for each other- Pine Grove has a "family" feel. [name removed]comes twice a week for music and devotional sessions. Residents really look forward to his visits.

We have had a great experience with Pine Grove! The facility is modernly decorated, clean, fairly new facility with all the bells and whistles. Private rooms, common areas, beauty salon all included. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others looking.

It's been a great experience thus far.I'm so glad I had "A place for Mom" to help find Pine Grove for my brother because it has been a great experience. Especially the cleanliness, kindness of staff, and the meals. My brother is so content at Pine Grove. Really the staff is fabulous really. I'm so impressed that if you had someone going to look at places I'd be glad to answer any questions that they might have.

Ask a lot of questions about how long the staff has worked there. Do your homework and research.What do they actually do in a day to day in memory care- certifications etc..

I was disappointed in the memory care side. Since Mom "graduated assisted living.Things are much nicer, residents socialize with each other, lots of activities and smiling staff members.I am very pleased that the whole staff seems interested in my Mom's happiness.

Some staff are kind and caring, others live on their cell phones...management talks a good talk but our issues are still there after 3 months .... Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Pine Grove Senior Living.

There is usually an odor in the hallway and in our loved ones room... there has been misplaced and lost medication causing me to have to buy more... some of the care givers don't care and won't help our visually impaired loved one with navigating the facility, they just tell our loved one to hold the rail. Things have gotten slightly better on the care side but cleanliness still a challenge

If you need a good, friendly, people-oriented place, Pine Grove is the place to come to. The food is great. They have plenty of activities. You an go in and out any time you want to on the property. One of my greatest pleasures is going outside to eat and watching the geese. Everything here is excellent, especially compared to where I was at previously. They have snacks for us three times a day. They always have the hydration station stocked 24/7 with coffee and fruit-flavored waters. There's a big fruit bowl. After dinner, they set up a big tray full of snacks you can access anytime. They post the menus for lunch dinner. Breakfast is always the same. But they'll make anything you ask for if you don't like what's on the menu that day. Everybody here knows your name quickly. All the staff -management, caregivers, maintenance - all know me. We're currently in the process of a change in director. The new director is here in training, and she's very friendly. I would recommend Pine Grove to anyone looking in the area.

Overall Pine Grove is a good place. My loved one is still settling into the community. The staff communication with the family is good. There are three meals a day served, and snacks are provided as well.

It's beautiful. My friend was really happy with the food. The value for the money was wonderful, compared to other places. We picked this community, because It was more affordable, the room was gorgeous, and the people were super sweet. The pereosn who helped with the process was great. I would recommend to other families, and would move one of my loved ones here.

The community is understaffed. This is a very nice place. Memory Care Community is very secure. Like most care centers they are way understaffed. The laundry is always mixed up. They need one person for that job only. Very helpful and friendly staff in the memory care unit. They work hard, just need to be more. Best value I found in this area .
