My dad spent the last 3 ½ years at the Blake. I can’t say enough about the wonderful care and attention he received while living at the Blake. He always felt safe and comfortable in this facility. His favorite spot was the beautiful courtyard and most days that’s where he always wanted to be. He enjoyed the food and never raised any complaints about his care. Dad lived to almost 100. and we are thrilled that the last years of his life he was happy, fulfilled and safe at the Blake. I highly recommend the Blake. It was always clean, the staff gave quality attention to the residents. The Blake was like an extended family for him, and I am so he glad we found The Blake.... Read more

Really like the staff so far and although change is hard for older folks, I think they are working to make certain Mom is happy.

What we have experience with The Blake at Hollingsworth Park is that we can say the meals have gone downhill and could be improved one.

The facility is beautiful and new, the food was excellent....chef was great and accommodating. I felt the individual attention to my Dad was not always given as promised. There were a few times I had to follow up with administrators for follow through. The respite fees are expensive but it is a nice facility with a positive happy vibe. Some of the facilities I toured were pretty depressing .

They worked very hard and worked with us to get my family member into The Blake. I appreciated their guidance, otherwise I would not have known what to do. They were knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. They were very efficient in their evaluation to place her at exactly the right care level where she needed to be in the facility to have her needs met. The staff were all very friendly and were there for her for whatever she needed during a difficult time.

We are very pleased with the care at The Blake. All of the staff is friendly and will call the residents and family by name. The dining experience is superb from table service to delicious chef prepared meals. We love that our family can eat with them, and the feel is that of a restaurant. The on-site visits for medical care, therapy, and medications is not only easy but allows for consistent continuity of care and at a managed frequency by the facility. The activities available on a daily basis are appropriate, fun, and varied for everyone's needs. I love that they go to the orchards, wineries, decorate, pumpkins, paint nails, have exercise class, pet therapy, or have movie events. There is always something to do regardless of your state of life. The entire experience has reduced the burden of my family as the caregivers and provides them better care than we were able to do. And it has given them more independence than they would have had with in-home care. The only situation that could be smoother is with their back office operations. It has taken multiple months to get the billing straightened out, and there isn't any online access or anyone readily available who can speak to you about charges, payments, invoices, etc. All in all, there is no doubt we would make the same choice of this facility again.

Our friend was very impressed with how nice everything was in the lobby and she has a really beautiful room two bedroom apartment. We also like that the location is very convenient for us. They could work on improving the response times - maybe they are getting better but sometimes our friend has to wait quite awhile for someone to come by.

I felt The Blake was a little over the top. The people seemed kind of snooty. It was just not a fit for my mom.
We liked the community. The residents were a little more advanced than where my loved one was at.
I would recommend you take your loved one to The Blake. They are so nice, friendly, and helpful. It is very clean, and relatively new. They have lots of activities for the residents to choose from. The food is enjoyed by my loved ones.

Our mother loves this community and she is really enjoying the meals and dining service. The activities could be a little bit more, but we would definitely recommend this community to other families

The cleanliness of the community could use a little bit of improvement, but one of the best things about The Blake is the meals and dining service. The staff members are excellent, they are so friendly to everyone. They do offer a lot of activities, and the value for cost is excellent.

We took a chance on this new facility hoping our loved one could grow with it. They were horribly short staffed, showed little concern for working together to resolve numerous issues, virtually impossible to reach or get responses from, and the staff exhibited low morale (eye rolls, side comments, you name it). I don't usually post reviews but our experience was so exhausting and dreadful it warrants pointing out. Ask questions, talk to staff, talk to residents, pay attention to what you hear. Hopefully a turn around is coming and they can work to make this the wonderful facility it was designed to be.

My loved one is happy and safe and they like the food. It's not what they are used to, but it is pretty good. It is a new community, and somethings have fallen through the cracks. However, the staff are responsive to requests and feedback from the families and residents.

I have already recommended this community to others. Everyone is so friendly, and they are communicative with the families. The staff even called to check on my mom during her rehab stay.

A Place for Mom has scored The Blake at Hollingsworth Park 8.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
