Sunrise senior living's top notch management and care team ensures residents have their care needs, however complex, expertly met so that they can enjoy time with their families and the many amenities the community offers. The staff is relentlessly positive and creative in finding ways to better residents' daily lives and in offering solutions to any challenges that crop up. This proactive approach has been a great gift to me as a family member as I can simply enjoy my visits with my mom rather than having to spend time trying to troubleshoot issues with her care (as was the case when she lived in another facility). She and I both feel at home in this wonderful spot.

This community is lovely. The staff, the food, and the activities really bring so much light to the residents that live here. Their memory care has a beautiful patio where residents can sit and watch the birds or do some gardening.

I have lived here for about a year now and it has been a joy. The staff are very patient, kind, and helpful. I enjoy talking with and getting to know the other residents that live here. I also like the variety of activities offered. I really enjoy morning exercise with Bayada. I also like when we have outings. Just the other day we went for a bus ride through local neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. My favorite meal in the dining room is breakfast, where I enjoy a bagel, OJ, and coffee pretty much every morning.

I have lived here for a little under a year now and it has been very nice. The staff are very nice and I enjoy talking with them. They are very helpful and willing to get me anything I need. I really like [name removed] and [name removed] because they are very patient and kind. The dining staff is also very nice and helpful. My favorite meal is dinner, where I love to have chicken, mashed potatoes, and just about any type of vegetable.

I have lived here since April of 2023 and it has been a wonderful experience being here so far. The staff are very helpful and always pleasant. I typically eat breakfast in my room because I enjoy my cereal, OJ, and coffee while I read the news paper in my rope and slippers. I do go down for lunch and dinner and enjoy socializing with the other ladies that live here. My favorite meals served are the Glazed Ham and Beef Stroganoff. When I am not socializing in the dining room, I do value my quiet time and peace in my room reading and doing puzzles. I am looking forward to trying out morning exercise with Bayada, as well as walking club in the spring and summer months.

I really enjoy living at Sunrise of Westtown. The community is kept clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoy the food served in the dining room. I would say my favorite meal is breakfast. I also like the activities we have here. I am really looking forward to what our new Director of Activities can bring to the table. I think he will be really good. I am a big singer. I love to sing and love to listen to others sing. I also played the violin years ago, so hopefully we can get someone in here again to play for us soon.

I am new to the community, but am settling in well. So far I have come to find out there are a variety of personalities in the community and it is more about finding the personalities you connect with. I have met a few residents I can get along with a talk to during meal time. The staff is very nice and respectful thus far. I really like [name removed] in the dining room. I like the variety in activities offered, but my favorite activities have to do with moving my body and getting exercise. I like the morning exercise classes and I want to join in on walking club, but I might have to wait until the weather gets warmer. I would also like to be involved with gardening if that is something we could do in the springtime.

I really liked the care I received at Westtown. The associates were all very loving and took great care of everyone. It was well run and took all the associates wants and needs into consideration. The activities were very organized and planned with all patients in mind. All likes and needs were well thought out.

The initial cost quote was low balled and once my loved one was there, it became apparent that the price was going to be $[removed] more per month. My brother had and has been taking his own medications for various conditions for over 50 years, but they insisted that they had to do it. They were unwilling to let him do this. Thus, the cost was significantly more than expected and well beyond his monthly income. Each month was billed in advance. When he moved out, we expected to pay the balance of the month for rent, but should have been reimbursed for the "nursing" (giving daily meds) service. This was $[removed], which on his income is a large amount. I have been trying since October (nearly 6 months) to get this refund. They never return calls!!! I would not recommend dealing with this community!!

The community is a good mix, I wish there more residents who don't have dementia. My loved one doesn't eat the breakfast but usually goes down for lunch and dinner, and the food was not that good, my loved one stated the meat was chewy and they ran out of wine for the residents which has happened a couple of times, and the wine mostly is undrinkable as the taste is bitter.

Went on a family tour it was a decent overall tour, found it to be a little older than one of the others on the top of our list. But certainly very clean and well kept up.

[Name removed] was a great help during my loved one's stay at Sunrise of Westtown. The billing team took a bit more work; however, this is resolved. It was nice the community broke the fees down to show you what each fee was for. They worked well with hospice.

Everyone was very nice and friendly that we dealt with. The billing has not been correct. They will accept our checks; however, the community is showing there is still money being owed. However, they say that this will be corrected. The administration has made themselves available when I have needed to talk to them about concerns or questions. There has been times that my loved one hasn't been cared for properly. The community accepted my loved one's pet initially. The location is close to family. The community seems clean. There have been times my loved one's rooms hasn't been cleaned, when I have visited them. There have been times I have had to let the caregivers know that my loved one's laundry needed to be done. They were quick to make this happen. The staff encourages resident's engagement in activities.

Sunrise of Westtown does not feel like a nursing home, it reminds us of a mansion with a really nice homey feel to it. We really like their philosophy and that they treat the residents with dignity. Their top priority is to treat the residents with genuine care and you can tell its not a slogan but that they live by the philosophy.

This community was outdated, the director didn't seem to have much energy. The rooms were smaller and not as clean as I had hopped.
The staff are wonderful to me and my dad. He doesn't participate, but I get letters with the activities schedule and I see residents participating when I go in. He really seems to enjoy the food, he eats 3 meals a day and does not complain. They are great with communication, they call me with any changes or updates. I think the quality of care is outstanding and the staff really care about their residents. For example, every resident has a little shadow box outside their door that they can decorate. He did not want to do that sot he staff made him one based off things they knew he liked, we thought that was really cool. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Sunrise of Westtown because it seemed like it was going to be the best fit for what her needs and the location is great. The staff here are all so caring and they really do the best that they can, she has improved a lot since being here. If I ever have any questions or concerns they address those. I would recommend to others looking.

We did not have a good experience with our tour at Sunrise of Westtown. Our first impression was that it is dark, dirty, and very regimented.
We really enjoy how friendly the staff members are towards us and how caring they are towards our loved one.
