It's a very nice facility. If you are independent living, they don't really have the staff to do anything that's assisted or beyond that.It's fairly expensive and the amenities aren't necessarily up to the price point.

Our fully-staffed community is licensed to provide Personal Care and Memory Care services, not Assisted Living. Fortunately there are a number of reputable communities in the area that do provide Assisted Living if that is needed. Best regards.
Unfortunately my father past away on [date removed]. Our experience at the Residence was short but they were super. The people there from upper management to the line staff were excellent and incredibly supportive. I would recommend them highly and would be happy to talk to you via phone.

Our family had an in person tour with The Residence at Chadds Ford and overall we thought it was a nice tour experience, but for our loved one it was just a little bit smaller.

We toured with Chadds Ford and the facility was right on busy 202 and seemed more like a high rise community. It seemed more like a place for independent living rather than assisted.

July 13, 2023Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! The Residence at Chadds Ford is a three-story community, which is a very typical size for Personal Care and Memory Care communities. Unfortunately, if you're looking for Assisted Living we are not licensed for that service, which in PA is considered a more medical model. While we do have some Independent Living folks, most of our residents are Personal Care, and enjoy the proximity to many of the shopping and cultural destinations in the area, along with the quiet outside recreational areas out back.
The Residence at Chadds Ford was very nice. The staff was great. Meals were good. If my Mom just wanted something small to eat, they would accommodate. The place was clean, with nice rooms.

I would definitely recommend the property I've done it multiple times already. I think the community should have better communication in the initial interview when there is care or medication's to be delivered.

They overstate there capabilities. We had issues with oxygen services, so we moved both parents out. The staff was fine but they had a fair amount of turnovers with leadership. Overall, the size of the apartments/rooms were very nice.

July 21, 2022Thank you for your nice words about our building, we are of course very concerned about any issues that you may have with our service delivery etc. The pandemic has certainly presented challenges when it comes to maintaining staff across our industry and all others. We are happy to report those issues are being resolved as we get back to normalcy. As far as oxygen services go, the services we can and cannot provide are explained very specifically in our licensure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any confusion around that issue is most regrettable, but we welcome the opportunity to sit down and discuss these or any other issues with you directly.
This is a great community for your or your loved one. It is secure and they have great cooks at this community. They have activities like sing a longs, happy hour, movies, and more for the residents to do to stay busy in the community.

This was a nice community. This community was on a main road and it seemed to look more like a hotel. I wanted my loved one to be in another area and that is why we did not go with this community

This is a community directly set up for independent living. My loved one went there for respite for assisted living. We set up a care plan, and it was not followed. There was no interaction, food, or medications given to my loved one. I ended up taking my loved one out of the community after a short stay due to my loved one not getting the care they needed. There was times I visited my loved one was in the same clothes on multiple visits.

We chose Residence at Chadds Ford because it was clean, staff was friendly, and we just felt it would be a great fit. When you walk out, you do not feel depressed. It is a more of an upbeat atmosphere compared to other facilities that we looked into. I would definitely recommend them to other families looking.

Right now like most other communities The Residence at Chadds Ford is understaffed, but right away they gave off an amazing first impression. Our whole family on the tour wanted to move in immediately and with our experience so far we would recommend this community to others.

Our family had an in person tour and The Residence is a very lovely community, but it was a little to high in price then what our loved one was comfortable with. However, for us this would be a place to come live. They were all very accommodating and let us talk to the residents and ask them questions.
I would definitely recommend this community. It is brand new and extremely clean. The community has everything my mom needs. The staff is very friendly, kind, and attentive. The communication is great and they have built a relationship with us.

Amazing building with superb amenities. Unfortunately they took so long to conduct the placement assessment that we were unable to compare final offers. They don’t seem organized yet.
