Summit Place of South Park

It has two room accommodations. Bedroom plus a small living space and kitchen. I have experience with only one. I do not know what others are like. Interview several and meet the people who will be working with the resident not just the staff.

Our family and loved one have had a disappointing experience with Summit Place of South Park. The management team could have done a better job in communicating with the family. The value for the money wasn't there for us either.

Very courteous and polite staff, from nurses to caregivers to dining etc. Very nice facility and community, really feels like a close community. I would definitely recommend Summit Place of South Park to others looking.

I would recommend Summit Place to others for their loved ones. There is ability to have physical and occupational therapy come to see the residents on-site. This allows the resident to not have to leave the community. This has been a big plus for our loved one and family! This has assisted my loved one in get stronger. There are three meals a day and there are choices to choose from. It can feel frustrating for the residents as there is a delay in getting the meals. However, there have been some changes made, and my loved one hasn't been complaining about the meals since.

This is the 6th place my mom has been and it is by far the best. They have the best staff working there. They do struggle to hire just like everyone else, but when they do hire, the people are great and really care about the residents. Activities wise it is off the charts - they have so much going on and they are so organized with it all. We could not be happier and have no complaints. We would highly recommend South Park to others.

We chose Summit Place at the time because they were ready to go, they had a doctor and all resources in place to get it all done quickly. It also seemed like an organized place where my mom would do well. I would recommend to others looking.

The few times I had concerns, they were addressed immediately. It was a good community for my mother, but the more medical needs she had, it became more difficult for the staff to care for her. The meals were great, and the food was well prepared. It looked pleasing. The staff in the dining room knew the residents, and catered to their needs.

I was very impressed touring this community- the staff were very attentive to the seniors and they were still doing activities during the day. The nursing staff was caring and helpful and the building very clean. While I was there two men were spraying down the railings with cleaners using a cleaning gun. I felt save during Covid with this place.

At first we were pleased with Summit Place of Southpark, but as time went on we were not pleased. We had some issues such as medication not given properly on several occasions or medication mix ups. It did not seem like they were monitoring it close enough. When we went to pick up my mothers things, they had sat them outside the facility. Her stuff was waded up and thrown in open boxes and there were also belongings of hers that were missing. 6 weeks after she passed, we found out the facility had not given my mother the cards that people were sending to her. I would not recommend Summit Place.

I was able to take a tour and i was not impressed with this place at all. The some of the staff was helpful, but the community felt like an institution. Not somewhere I would send my loved one. It just is not very homey at all.We have walked the halls looking for around and it's like a too. I went in middle of the week and a lot of staff was very loud in front of the residents waiting in the front hall for lunch. Summit Place had a bad smell. It reminded me of a used baby diaper smell. I also saw a lot of ants and small tiny flies in the dining room and hallway. This community looked dirty and drab. This place is defiantly not for my parents!

Not a place for my mom. Trash overflowing, receptionist unresponsive and unwilling to help elderly lady looking to have her fingernails trimmed. Residents asleep in hallways and reception area. Very sad environment and quite disappointing.

Location is always good and the facility is nice. But at 10am, the more I walked down the hall way, the more intense the aroma became. I had checked out this location 2 years ago; with most wheel chair residents just locked down in the hallway, but as a functional father - I don't think this is the place.

I toured Summit Place on behalf of my father. Generally, I liked it. I really liked [Removed], the woman who showed us around. She seemed very caring. She was constantly engaging with staff and residents throughout the tour, and was really knowledgeable. If there was anyone who had a need, she made sure to make others aware so the problem could be solved. I thought that the rooms were fine, the facility was lovely, and I liked that they had large windows to let in lots of light. However, the only room that was available for us at the time was a double room in memory care, and I just wasn’t sure dad was ready for that yet.

I had a pleasant tour of this community. It is a nice facility with kind people. Everyone was kind, and friendly to my family, and I. It is a nice looking community, everything looked nice, and clean. The staff was polite, and helpful. The experience was a nice one, and I did not have any problems with my tour of this community.

We toured this community. We liked that they had more care takers which we liked. The director was very helpful. They do have good activities. We did not want a shared room. We would recommend this community for good care. The meals are appealing. I like knowing that the staff cares about my father. I would recommend this community for other families.
