Wonderful community that made my mother in laws transition to AL so special and seamless! Would recommend to all! Meals are incredible and there are great activities for residents to enjoy! The rooms are spacious and light. The staff is so helpful and they made my mother in law feel comfortable. They made the experience very positive. They often give the residents ice cream at night and that is a big success!

June 6, 2024Sherri, we're glad you found us too! It was wonderful to read that Summit Place is the perfect size for your loved one, and that the team never fails to impress you.
If I could give this facility a zero I would. The turnover is extremely high since the new Director, [name removed] has come aboard. My mother was a memory care patient. The staff for that area is non compassionate and doesn’t have the patience and understanding needed for Alzheimer’s patients. They don’t clean the patients, speak to them kindly or watch them. I have been there to visit my Mom several times and I end up watching the patients because the staff is nowhere to be found. The memory care unit always smells of urine. We brought several concerns to [name removed] and she always shifted blame. We were given. 30 day notice which is the best thing that could have happened! I would not recommend this facility to my enemy!!!! They need a total over haul!!!

Most employees (dining room, activities, front desk) are very pleasant; nurses seemed to be attending to too many people at times and not responsive on occasion when needed. care was adequate; seemed to have problems keeping an ED. Always fun activities, but my loved one didn't participate; PT and OT was excellent. They went above and beyond their call of duty.

Excellent experience overall. The only concern has been staff turnover, but I understand this is common for this industry. The maintenance team is beyond peer, as are the key people in dining, bookkeeping, and floor care staff.For all of the high scores noted above. The staff was #1, along with the high level of care.

It's a pretty good place to have a loved one live. The food is awful and they don't seem to care about that, but otherwise it's good. It was chosen because the person moving into it liked it the best, and they offered a veteran's discount.

Note that we know that dining is an important part of life at Summit Place of South Park and we are always looking for feedback from residents on our menus and service. Please encourage your loved one to attend our monthly dining services meetings so we can get their detailed input on changes they would like to see.
The staff was accommodating, and the overall value for cost is similar to other facilities in the area. Unfortunately the doctor suggested a higher level of care which Summit place could not provide so we had to choose a different facility

Staff (CNAs) were rude and dismissive of simple requests, very short with my mom. Housekeeping was fine, as far as I know. Communication was lacking, almost nonexistent. I was told I would get a call after move in, no call for 4 days and that was to tell me mom had escaped. The move in was not great, times to move in non communicated, no extra care seemed to be given during mom's transition, she was observed trying to exit 3 days, no one alerted me or the head nurse until after she escaped by climbing a wall twice her height. Lock the patio or have monitored cameras, a Memory Care facility should be equipped to deal with sun downing and wandering. It should not require me to hire a caregiver to sit with mom. I would not recommend this facility to others.

My mother is currently a resident at Summit Place of South Park and this facility has been five stars across the board for her. The cleanliness and friendliness is great. The staff, care services, food and activities are also great. They've been amazing for my mother! I would recommend Summit Place of South Park to others.

It has two room accommodations. Bedroom plus a small living space and kitchen. I have experience with only one. I do not know what others are like. Interview several and meet the people who will be working with the resident not just the staff.

Note that in addition to that one bedroom with kitchenette floor plan we also have other one bedroom, and several studio layouts, available in our Assisted Living neighborhood to meet a variety of resident needs and budgets.
Our family and loved one have had a disappointing experience with Summit Place of South Park. The management team could have done a better job in communicating with the family. The value for the money wasn't there for us either.
