Overall, our experience has been good here at this facility. We're having a few difficulties at the present time, but we are working through them. The food is very good and includes a great variety. The staff is very cooperative. They've had some staff turnover, including the head nurse. A lot of the Aides seem to rotate also for whatever reason. But I do understand that burnout is real, especially in this line of work. The young lady in charge of the Memory Care unit is amazing, but she's working a lot and doing her best to cover for the staff shortages. Continuity of service is so important, especially with Memory Care. So that makes it hard. The cleaning lady is amazing and always on top of things. She's a very sweet lady and has been here for a long time. They have nursing staff on staff 24 hours a day. The outside Medical Providers come to the facility two days a week. The activities are varied, but available if the residents choose to participate. I think I would recommend this facility to family and friends. We had a good tour with Starling at San Jose. As far as looks go it was a very nice and clean facility. They were informative and did a great job. Unfortunately they did not have an rooms available at the time so we crossed them off the list.
This is a nice place and I would recommend it to others for their loved ones. The community has a wonderful engagement team and works hard to make sure all the residents know each other, and feel welcomed. They work hard to get the new residents involved in activities and community offerings. The staff communication with the family is okay. It would be nice to have one central person to speak to regarding updates on my loved one. There are three meals a day and a new menu each day for the residents to choose from.

people that work here are extremely friendly and not everywhere has this. people go out of their way to help us. employees have bent over backwards to be helpful.

this community is a bright cheerful environment with many caring staff members. they plan great activities and care for the residents well.
the staff is second to none!! this is a very well maintained facility. it is SO clean. the food is comparable to any country club. they have many activities for residents and transportation. I have seen over a dozen senior living communities and none are as good as this one! best in Jacksonville.
We thought Starling at Jose was adequate. It seemed like a nice place. We just wanted a place that was closer to our family.
