We've had a few struggles with care in the beginning and still with paperwork being submitted in a timely manner for insurance purposes. The exterior of the facility is well past due for maintenance, repairs, exterior cleaning, gutter clean out(there's a small 3ft tree growing from one gutter) and a roof cleaning. Lots of mold and mildew growing that is unhealthy for the residents and staff. The ponds could use a good sprucing up as well to remove all the pond scum and repair the fountains(you'd think as part of the facility name, that'd be on a priory list somewhere). It'd be lovely if they could focus on those things. Not only from a health standpoint but I'm sure the residents would appreciate having nice and clean exterior grounds and increase their mental and spiritual wellbeing. The inside is also dated and could use new hard surface flooring through and eliminate any carpet that can hold onto to germs and odors. Overall, my aunt is content there and seems to be doing well.... Read more

Mostly people are kind, some happy & some not so happy. A lot of that depends on the individual. My mom has had her struggles but most of that is her attitude at times. The fountains is a large facility & most of the staff is good, but some not so good. We chose the facility because it fit her budget & proximity to family. I would recommend with some caveats.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Fountains at Mill Cove and it was a great experience. I like that there were no hidden fees, the facility offered multiple care options, and the direct care staff were great. My loved one didn't like the food, but was incredibly picky. My loved one did not participate in the activities, but I was pleased with the offerings. I would recommend The Fountains at Mill Cove to others.

Staff is kind and allows older people to live with assistance but maintains their dignity. For the cost, it is by far the largest living space compared to other locations we looked into. There is a lovely screened in porch and an area where there can be a garden behind it. Sitting in a rocking chair outside in private space.

When he gets his care it is good but it seems like a revolving door there. I hear the only good meal is breakfast. We cannot comment on the activities because he does not do any of the activities. The value for cost is good compared to other places and the rooms are big. Would we recommend this community to others? It would depend on their health. If they were mobile and could get around by themselves. I would say yes.

The Fountains at Mill Cove are excelling in all categories. The food is, of course, each persons taste but the chefs meet with tenants each Tuesday to discuss likes and dislikes and are open to all suggestions. The move in process is extremely easy and the staff are very welcoming. My biggest issue is the rumors that get started and fly around the facility, but staff are good about correcting. Mom was skeptical about moving there, but met people really quick and made a lot of friends which is why she went there. She also is teaching a crochet class and the ladies love it. Overall, we are so happy.

I like that my Dad is in a safe place and they check in on him and care for him relatively well. I guess the food options is what he complains most about.

Staff are pretty good. There's good days and bad days. Housekeeping is good. The weekend shift is limited, wish they had a little more help. They do communicate with me when there's any issues with my mom. The meals are okay. I would recommend the facility, but stopping by is a good idea and be kind and make friends with the staff. I think that's good advice, no matter the facility.

Nothing but the Facts: For almost 6 years we attempted to communicate with this place. They barely spoke to us, and when they did, they made promises that were never kept. It all culminated when our family member passed away on [date removed]. Although we were listed as "next of kin", we were not contacted, nobody in our family was! On [date removed], after finding our family member via a call to the morgue, we were told by staff that he had died a month prior and his room had been emptied by his "POA" a nice thief of a person who sucked (almost) everything out of him. POA expires upon death so we did file a police report. 45 days post death, we received email from the office manager that as next of kin we needed clean his room out. [date removed] we arrived to find the door to his room open and all items of "value" tv, meds, a firearm, missing. The only items had value to us; pictures, bibles. A picture hidden above cabinets! RUN don't walk far away w/ your family! Crazy place and scary connections!

They've been having a problem with roaches. He's in Independent living so he doesn't really need any assistance. He fixes his own breakfast but some of the mills he does not like. He thinks it's rather expensive and the rent is already gone up and he's only been there since March

Community itself is nice, needs some TLC to the older building, but memory care could use patient care help. We chose this for the affordability, and it rated well and A Place for Mom recommended.

Fountain at Mills experience was good. Sometimes the custodian don't clean at all but the rule is that they clean rooms on Tuesdays only. Some of the staff are friendly but some are not and some staff are lazy and hide out on weekends. The facility suppose to have a manager on duty the weekends and no manager is never there and it's hard getting in touch with management.. Quality is ok for the ones who are competent and can speak for themselves. But not for people who like my brother and wheelchair people in assisted living. Meals are excellent. Activities are ok for the competent ones , and there isn't but 2 people in activities and they don't remind the residents about activities if you're not down stairs when they leave, you get left behind. The cost is high and they go up on Veterans yearly because of the increase for vets. I am waiting for a space with a VA facility for my brother.

The staff members at Fountains Residence at Mill Cove are awesome and keep us consistently informed. When it comes to activities they had different things like trips to the store, scenic rides, special trips (movies, restaurants), games, crafts, religious services, in-house movies, special celebrations...

Affordable, friendly staff. Some shortages of staff/concern for residents on the weekends, but that's likely in most places. Pretty good commication about residents health or health emergency. Pretty good selection of activities for residents. It's as good or better than another place we've used.

We are very pleased with Fountains at Mill Cove. The facility is very home like and the staff is excellent in providing care to my Mom. The room is just the right size for my mom. The amenities offered are excellent. My mom is able to get her hair done every week and she is happy about that. She has met several new friends and has settled in quite nicely there.
