It was a very nice facility, but it was understaffed. I went to see my husband every day twice a day so I had a pretty good understanding of how things were done. Many times there were only two staff members on the floor. The rest of them were over helping out in assisted-living. The staff itself was great and they gave [name removed]good care, but after a couple of months, his health deteriorated to the point where they just could not give him the care that he needed. I moved him over to [removed] where he passed away on [date removed]... Read more

I think they only cater to a few people. For instance they have happy hour six nights a week and provide residents and their guest two free drinks. I cannot drink alcohol or cola drinks so I really can’t participate. I ask that non alcoholic beer be provided, but evidently the social director thinks it is not necessary since non alcoholic beer is not available. Why am I and other non alcohol drinking residents subsidizing the alcohol drinkers? Food quality appears to be going down hill compared to wham I first arrived. A lot of time is spent waiting for servers to take your order and even longer for food delivery.

I did a lot of research when I tried to find the right place for my parents. All the other facilities I looked at were no where near as inviting and friendly as Seagrass. The staff helped me navigate the difficult process of transferring my elderly parents into assisted and memory care/living. They have been great.

I am very well, satisfied with the level of care and services that Seagrass has provided thus far. At the same time, I’m monitoring my mothers needs, which we are still assessing. At the same time, we’re still trying to figure out, if assisted-living is the correct level of care that she needs. Overall, I am pleased with the quality and level of care that we received.

Both my husband and I are now living at Seagrass Village. We are enjoying our stay. All 3 meals are provided, housekeeping is provided once a week, there are activities for at all levels. We visited several other senior living facilities. By far Seagrass is highest level of living. Best Regards

The cleanliness of the community and friendliness of the staff is excellent, they are jut good quality folks. The food is good, our loved one is used to living in an area that was surrounding by a ton of restaurant's so it is an adjustment but she has had no complaints. They have a new activities director and right now she is working on other things so the activities aren't quite up to par yet. We do think the value for the money is good.

I am very happy I will be moving here soon, this community is great for independent living and much cheaper then my previous community. My apartment will have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full sized kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, a self cleaning oven, a washer and dryer in the unit and a nice balcony to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Also when the weather is nice they have a really pretty outdoor space to sit outside and relax. There are activities going on all the time and the meals looked to be presented very well.

Seagrass Village was good but a little pricey. Like a lot of places, they're experiencing staffing issues due to Covid.
I loved Seagrass Village. I wanted my loved one to to move in here. [Name removed], who showed us around, was super energetic and showed us everything. You could tell that she knew all the residents. The rooms had really big windows and were laid out nicely. The food was delicious. They invited us back twice, so we got to try a lunch and a dinner. They had really good activities. Everything about the building, was great. It was a newer building, with lots of options.
I am so proud to call this home. From 1 to 10 it is a 10+. It is the greatest in all categories

Our family was able to have an in person tour and it was excellent, very very good. It is a very nice facility with a great layout we highly recommend Seagrass to others. We saw no issues with the cleanliness of the place, and we actually had a down payment on an apartment but our loved ones health declined and had to go to a higher skilled nursing community. The value here is competitive, but on a more reasonable level. Just exceptional.
Loved [name removed] and residents we met. Liked unit safety features and extras that helped residents without assisted living costs.

I like that this a pet friendly community. One guy in the dining room is not very nice, but overall everyone else is very nice. I don't like the food here. I don't like the rolls they have, and the okra and greens they have. Sometimes they have clear liquid soups. It's just a matter of personal taste.

A Place for Mom has scored Seagrass Village of Fleming Island 7.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
