The Staff could not have been better, I am extremely pleased with the care my Uncle received. When we visited him it was almost like the staff were part of our family. The meals were what you would expect to find in a memory care facility and again from what I observed while visiting during meal times the staff were very attentive to the residents individual needs. We chose Allegro Fleming Isla because of the environment and it just felt like the right fit for my relative. They do have staff shortages over the weekend.

Allegro community feels like home. The staff is extremely patient. Everyone is friendly. I have been to other facilities that have a urine smell. Allegro doesn't smell. They make sure it us clean. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

From my initial visit and throughout the entire move in process, the staff listened, answered my many questions, and were always prompt with responses. The move in process went very smoothly. My dad was evaluated by the nurse upon arrival. I don't receive much direct communication since move in, but I do have the app that I can look at. Housekeeping comes once a week and is efficient. Laundry is handled well. The meals are good and they offer a wide variety to suit the residents. The dining room staff are very courteous and provide whatever is requested. I would definitely recommend Allegro for Assisted Living.

I would consider Allegro for any loved one again. The staff all seem to care for the residents. They have been quick to respond to any of the family's questions about our loved one. The staff are quick to get my loved one on the phone to speak to family. The meals are good and there are three meals a day provided.

This was a nice community. It was felt a little too small and didn't have the grounds we wanted for our loved one.
We chose Allegro because they had respite care available at that time. They do have aw lot activities for residents to do which is nice since my parents are so active. We would recommend them to others looking.

I toured at Allegro, and they have a management issue.
The staff are fantastic. The rooms are very quiet. And the grounds are really pretty. I would say be cautious of what age your family member is going in there. It seems there's a lot more older people than we expected. Our loved one is not loving the food and thinks it's very repetitive. But overall It's a strong community to think about.

Our family had an in person tour with Allegro and it was very nice and a very well established community. It was the closest community to us out of all the places looked at, but the value for cost was much higher then we wanted. We were worried if our loved one moved in there, they would run out of money to quick
very modern, lots of activities, beautiful grounds and residents seem very happy. My mother in law loved pics so seeing June 4th for lunch.

My Mother arrived about 10 days before Xmas after selling her home of 20 years. She was scheduled for a 30 day Respite visit but they offered a better deal to go ahead & sign on as a regular resident with her household stuff following her there in late Jan after I returned from my trip. Since many residents go w their families during the holidays, staff levels throughout the facility were lower than usual. There are less activities offered & there is a slimmer staff in the Dining Room as well. It took awhile to get them to hook-up her tv (which you are required to provide for yourself) & ensure it was working properly. That meant many quiet evenings when she was lonely & bored with nothing to do. They did introduce her to other new arrivals & she did make one good friend there. Overall, she thought the place was nice but felt she was not ready for God’s Waiting Room & ended up moving back in with me...

While looking at different facilities for my loved one, this community had the nicest area outside. They had nice staff. However, depending on how much care your loved one may need it could be a bit pricey. While deciding for a place, it just didn’t seem like a right fit.

Response from Allegro Fleming Island
February 2, 2018We're sorry to hear that Allegro was not the right fit for your loved one. We hope you will stay in touch and come visit again in the future.
Wow. When can I move in? This will serve as the gold standard for comparison sake and though I think I really need to look closer to Atlanta we may not rule this out yet. [Removed] our tour guide was extremely helpful.

We are very happy with this community. They are very good with mom. Mom just said that she likes everything about the community and the people are nice, but it is not the place for her. She wants to go back home. It's taking a little longer to adjust. The community though is beautiful and looks like a hotel.

My dad moved in to independent living at Allegro 3 years ago. He has thoroughly enjoyed living there. The accommodations are lovely and the social life very lively. However, we were not informed that the rent would go up 5% every year, regardless of inflation. He is now paying $500 more each month than when he moved in 3 years ago. His rent has gone from $3300 a month to $3800. It would be very unsettling to move Dad at this point. We just wish we would have been informed of the continual increase in rent.

Response from Allegro Fleming Island
February 2, 2018Thank you very much for the kind words!
We were very unhappy with mom's care at a brand new, beautifully impressive facility where they maintained 2 staff to 20 residents. Putting a lock on the door does not make it a memory care facility. We chose Allegro because of the people. There are always several staff members around ready to assist. They really do care. They have been doing this for years and have the experience and knowledge to run things successfully. We have been impressed by the level of care, activities, and friendliness. They strive to do things as if it was their mom.

February 3, 2018Thank you very much for the feedback. We appreciate the kind words.
We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. Overall this looked like a very high quality place! They seemed to have a lot of activities, and were just a busy, active community overall. However, we felt that our loved one would do better in a more relaxed, homey type community. If you've got someone wanting to stay busy this would be a great place to look, though!

A Place for Mom has scored Allegro Fleming Island 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
