Independence Village of Plymouth

Independence Village is the second independent living facility I've lived in. Next to [company name removed] it is paradise. The living areas are bright, updated and it is easy to move about. The management is outstanding, as are all of the staff and kitchen. Communication is excellent. Highly recommend!

My parents really enjoy Independence Village. It is very cost-effective. They like that they have the ability to add services as needed. My mom really likes the activities. We like the location, close to shopping, dining, and entertainment.

[Name removed]- A shout out to everyone that takes care of me here at IVP. I sent pic of banana delivery to my cousin [name removed] and she replied, “ I wanna live there!” She has visited me many times. Age 75! Dinners have been great. It is the only meal I order at this time and they have been really good - esp. pear/ginger glazed chicken, servers are great. Love the morning announcement sheet. Who knew almost 5 years ago ([date removed]) that I would be so happy here!! Pandemic and all. [Name removed]

The staff is friendly, but even more importantly the other residents are warm and inviting. The community is clean and there is always a vacuum going.

[Name removed] and I thoroughly enjoyed our respite stay during his medical treatments. It became our home away from home. Your staff met us with smiles and hugs, and we were greeted as family. The meals were delicious and healthy, with a wonderful variety of choices. As always, we highly recommend I.V.P. to our friends and family.

My mother lived to be 96 and spent her last four years here. I am so pleased with the level of care she received. The LHC staff were very caring and accommodating. They tailored our needs to their care. I would recommend IV Plymouth as a wonderful place for your loved one.

My dad has such a full and productive life at Independence Village of Plymouth. The staff care about creating a community where people connect, communicate, and create! There are a variety of activities that people can become involved with to meet those goals. Art classes, exercise groups, book clubs, mixers, and anything residents might want to be involved in are available. Each resident’s dwelling is not just an apartment but a home. Each floor is a neighborhood. The lobby and library are the town square. Director, [name removed], sets a tone of caring about each individual resident and their families. A woman of high integrity, she values each resident for the unique addition that they are to this community. I know my dad is well cared for. I know my dad is safe. I know my dad is valued. And I know my dad is happy at Independence Village of Plymouth.

A great place starts with a great leader, [name removed] is the finest you'll find for your loved ones, her care for the residents can be seen in all she does. All the departments follow her lead, Culinary with it's delicious foods and waitstaff. Housekeeping keeping residents clothes/linens fresh and clean and the building clean and comfortable. Maintenance making sure those little glitches get fixed promptly, they do a great job with such a large building. Activities always making sure the residents have things to do and are having fun doing it, it's great to see the residents smile and laugh. The front office staff is always there to help, it's comforting to know they are there 24/7 to assist any need. If you are looking for a caring place for a loved one, I would certainly consider Plymouth Independence Village.

All aides, PT, speech and dining servers are wonderful. My mom has been here several years and at 95 is still active. Front desk [names removed] are the best, they know all the tenants and call them by name. Dining servers are also warm and know the resident's likes and dislikes. I always let newcomers families all the fun they have.

Food was delicious with plenty of variety and choices. Apartments nice size. Kitchen plenty big enough for someone who won’t be cooking much, but not much room for a kitchen table. Wish bathroom counter was a little bigger and closer to bedroom. Plenty of closets. They offered all the services we were looking for. Convenient location for her friends in Northville and family in Plymouth. Guest parking could be better. Mom was ready to signup at end of tour so she obviously was happy with it. [Name removed] gave us an excellent tour, answered all our questions and sent us home with all the literature we needed.

It has been well over a year since our father passed away. During the last years of his life he had the good fortune of residing within the caring community of Independence Village. Our family is very grateful for the love, respect and dignity that he was afforded by the many people of IV. We realize it is no easy task to care for and manage all of the various needs within your community. However, we feel that your people rose to the occasion and we are eternally grateful.

My mother in law became a resident in Aug. 2016. This special place was an answer to our prayers. We have felt like family since the first day we walked in to visit this site. All staff members have been gracious and so wonderful to mom. We feel very confident and comfortable with this organization. We loved the site in Petoskey too, where my father was before his death. Would recommend these sites to anyone!!

Employees all have amazing attitudes! Food is excellent! These people care My dad is very happy here!

It is with very mixed emotions that we leave IVP. Already I have had a hard time controlling my tears! From the staff, to cooks, swers (how special they are) to housekeepers have left their mark on our lives. For their kindness we will always be grateful. What I like most about IV Plymouth is a staff that is caring, friendly, says hello and calls you by name.

I like living at Independence Village of Plymouth for so many reasons. The staff, though always professional, know you by name and they are friendly, caring and helpful. The friendships made with other residents and the myriad of activities are outstanding. When you want to be alone that is also an option. But most of all, it is home! I have lived here for almost three years and after only a few months it was (and still is) home.

This is the place to be when you and/or your family member needs more care. Caring, loving and friendly home. Moved here with spouse 3 years ago. After he passed I was asked if I was moving back home. I said no this is home. Lots of activities and caring employees (should say family) to help and interact with.

It's like a family here. I love the support I've gotten during difficult times. When my family comes to visit they feel welcome and everyone is so helpful. Sharon from housekeeping came and got my skirt to iron it in between two weddings I was attending without my even asking. We are family. I enjoy Book Club. I like [name removed].

A very caring group of individuals within this complex which make it easy to have my mother who is going to be 97 thrive in this community. She graduated off hospice and I believe it's because of the care she is getting here.
