Bethesda Gardens Fort Worth works hard to bring faith-based senior living to residents requiring assisted living or memory care services. This uniquely designed, beautifully landscaped community is located in south Fort Worth, near area shopping centers, Chisholm Trail Parkway, and I-20 — while still remaining a peaceful locale away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Residents at Bethesda Gardens Fort Worth reside in private or shared suites that truly become home. Highly trained caregivers guide residents through their activities of daily living and help meet other personal care needs residents may have. In addition to on-site care provided by skilled caregivers, community specialists are always available to provide on-site ancillary services as needed. Our loved one absolutely loves this community, she loves everyone there and everyone loves her. However, we are quite frustrated, what they say in the beginning is not the case, nothing ever happens. Our loved one is supposed to get three showers a week, with a little assistance and that does not happen. There are no activities, they did not help us out in the beginning filling out our loved ones meal schedule, we had no idea what to do. There is just a lack of communication. Our loved one is diabetic and they are not paying attention to their dietary restrictions, but now things are getting a little more under control.
We chose this facility because the director were more personable and felt like they were more interested in actually helping my mom rather than just the money. They have been really good with communication, the staff members here are great and always transparent. I did see the activities calendar when I went in and they seem to have a lot of options. I would recommend to others looking.

I would want others to know that we had a bad experience here. They do not care at all for your loved ones especially if they are combative. When I went into his room they were not cleaning so it was very messy, I had to give him showers and clean his room myself. His clothes went missing when we were here, when he would go to the bathroom or dirty them, they would toss them out. They also changed management 3 different times during our stay here. I also witnessed abuse twice when I stayed here overnight when they did not know I was there, I contacted their director about it and they said they reported it to the State. She was only suspended for 2 weeks. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I have been pretty pleased with this community. The maintenance is very good. The staff are attentive to residents. The nurse really knows her job and she is wonderful . Staff has said my sister has had a remarkable adjustment and is very happy there now. I believe is has to do with the suggestions by the nursing staff. I will definitely suggest Bethesda Garden to anyone needing an assisted living situation.

Our experience with Bethesda Gardens began well enough, but since most of the primary staff with whom we first dealt left the facility by March, my husband's "care" was suspect. I would advise anybody who has a loved one needing care--especially one who has any behavioral issues--to check this (or any other facility) out thoroughly so that you don't have the type of experience we did the last few months. The trust we'd had in the previous staff had dwindled, and my husband is now deceased.

This is a wonderful place, the director (name removed) is a gem. Memory care is difficult and it is very hard to find a good place that will do the right thing. I'm grateful to have found Bethesda and highly recommend it.

My mother in law is a changed woman since moving to Bethesda 7 months ago. She is involved and excited for each new day. Great staff, always working to make it the best ever. Wonderful location with people who care.

I have a long list of issues with this facility. I recommended to not put your loved one here. My mother is there now and it has been one issue after another.

I was excited about this place for my mother but the service has been below par. 1.) The alert button for the nurse/tech on call did not work for the first 3 days at the facility. 2.) She was not give an emergency medical device until she had been there 4 days. We heard from another resident's daughter that her mother needed help and had to call 911 because no one responded to the medical alert device. 3.) She almost missed a Dr.'s appointment because the front desk person forgot to tell the driver about her appointment. 4.) My mother was put in a temporary room due to a water leak of some sort in her designated room. They promised to have the floor repaired in 2 weeks and it is now 3 weeks and work has not yet started. There will be more to add I'm sure.

Enjoyed our visit with [name removed]. [name removed] was very accommodating and outgoing. Bethesda is a smaller assisted living center. I liked that it was a single story building with less residents; more individual attention. Full laundry and phone service is included. Since we will not need assisted living immediately, we will put Bethesda Gardens on our list as a possibility. The location was very convenient to doctors, shopping and banking.

The staff here have been so kind and loving, and to find out that most have been here an average of 7+ years is amazing! They have gospel music, lots of activities, great food, and the staff always go the extra mile. The director's door is always open, no matter what. I love it here, and I'm so impressed with how far the staff is willing to go for my mom!

Our mom lived here for nearly five years. The first 1.5 years were good, but after local management turnover, things changed for the worse. Prescription management and security (jewelry stolen) were the first major issues. Never had one fire drill during her total tenure here. As long as your resident is reasonably independent, and in good health, this place is OK; but as dementia progressed and additional support required, professional care services fell below our expectation (and their promise) for these paid services. There are a handful of caregivers here who are wonderful and caring; treating our mom as their own to the last day. The rest were clock punchers. During the years we initiated regular reviews with their management resulting in no positive change. We realized then that the less than compassionate attitudes came from top down, including the president and corporate officers. Why did we stay? Honestly the location proximity to our homes was a major factor allowing us to personally oversee her care, and our concern of introducing change to mom. We had to install CCTV in her room just so we could tell if she had fallen. When mom’s PCP and HH finally recommended memory care, we moved her away despite Bethesda having a separate memory care unit but it was managed by the same inept people. Moved to a new facility and she is now showing real signs of improvement in just one week.

We had a main goal to pick a better and convenient community. I called to see if they were a fit to tour. They were not as close as I had hoped and we found a closer community to the family so we decided to not continue with the tour. The information I got from them was helpful.

The care at this community is good. The care from the staff is outstanding. I like the menu is appealing and she has been pleased with the good variety. The staff try and keep her active with the other residents. I would recommend the care and the value to be what we're looking for

My father is doing really well, he is adjusting and the staff has been very helpful. The facility is clean and organized. What we liked most about this place while choosing was the availability and price. Also, we liked the fact that it is all on one floor, so we don't have to worry about stairs.

Bethesda Gardens was nice but there were a lot of rather long hallways. I felt it was too impersonal. They also operated off of a point system for care. So you didn't know exactly what the price would be. I wasn't impressed with the person in intake.

During our tour I had noticed how clean and well maintained the building was and I was very impressed. They had a spacious floor plan and a great dinning hall area for the residents. The only issue that my parents had noticed was the rooms where way to small and they where way too far from the dinning room as well as activity center

A Place for Mom has scored Bethesda Gardens Fort Worth 8.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
