I would not recommend Heritage Place Assisted Living and Memory Care to no one. The cost is too high.
It takes too long when you push the button around your neck for someone to come and help you. The service is very slow, the food is poor quality and poor taste.
The executive director was let go during the time my husband was there, so the staff turnover was a concern. I think the staff really cared for the residents from my interaction with them. Overall I thought it was pretty good.

Staff is different daily, No stability. Housekeeping is poor. The move in was not good. Meals were poor, especially in Memory Care. Improvement needed in all areas, except the Director and Concierge. I could not recommend this facility.

Always understaffed. They can not keep any staff. Food is terrible. The Management there is incompetent. When you go to the director with concerns, he will tell you what you want to hear but doesn't fix any problems.

Response from Heritage Place Assisted Living and Memory Care
July 26, 2023Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We would like to invite you to contact our Regional Director of Operations at scampbell@sagora.com and provide us with any issues or concerns you may have. We appreciate your feedback, and we hope to hear from you soon.
We toured Heritage Place during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. This facility was high on our list! The atmosphere was fabulous, staff members even came up to us to introduce themselves! We had a very thorough tour and all of our questions were answered. They also gave us a monthly Activity Schedule, brochure, and guide.
The staff members were very helpful and accommodating. They did not hesitate to answer any questions or address any needs. They made us feel like Mom was their most important resident. Mom really liked her studio apartment. It was well organized and very clean. I myself thought it could be a bit larger to accommodate visitors. I think we should have gone with the one bedroom apartment. I would absolutely recommend Heritage Place.

The main thing that sticks out to use about Heritage Place is the staff, they are incredibly helpful and check on my loved one regularly and help her get to wherever she needs to be. I would recommend Heritage Place to others families.

My loved one loves the food, and is always busy with activities. Be careful with this community. They are understaffed, and unable to keep staff. They are a bit overpriced. I initially picked this place because it seemed like it was a pretty well kept place, everything was great ,but things changed along the way. Also, the rooms are not very clean.

Absolutely terrible current Director (should not be allowed to breathe any more lies or slurs) with no mgmt. skills and dislikes by subordinates! Made beds covering urine soaked matress, unmedicated patients wandering, personal belongings GONE, lack of communication, authority and accountability. Theres more but being sensored.. SHUT IT DOWN!!

I think the facility is a nice place. I wouldn't have a problem living there myself, if I needed to. The only thing we had an issue with was when my dad stopped breathing at the facility, we had a DNR for the hospital in his will, but we didn't realize nor did they inform me that they needed a specific DNR for the assisted living facility itself. I've told friends that if they are looking for an assisted living facility and if you also want a DNR, you will need to have a separate form for that, anywhere you go. I really appreciated their facility very much for the things they accepted in regards to my dads care. I had a good feeling going there. They were very helpful; anytime I texted a question, I got an answer back. So I was surprised when the DNR was not brought up because they were very helpful with everything else, like reimbursing us because my dad didn't stay there long.

The security of the community is something that really stood out to our family right away. Everything has been great so far, but the meals and dining service could use just a little bit of improvement.

The community has changed directors several times, buts it's a good place, not the best but good. The room sizes are good and they offer different size rooms also. I would recommend this community to others.

We chose Heritage Place over others that we looked into because when you walked in, it felt like a community rather than a nursing home. The room sizes here were good, we were pleased with all the space. We did eat here often and my parents always said the food was great. In the short time my parents were here, we thought it was wonderful.

This facility is gorgeous, but don't let the good looks deceive you. My grandmother has been @ Heritage Place in Burleson for quite a while now. In the time that she has been there, there have been so many different directors that I have lost count (at least 7 or 8) and in between the changes there is frequently no one in charge on-site. They also cannot seem to keep ANYONE in ANY position for any length of time (nurses, chefs, dining room help, etc.) which is a testimony to the horrible management. I have also lost count of the times that I have called with a concern or question, only to be told that there was not a nurse onsite that day. What the heck?! Most of the aides, especially the weekend crew, are wonderful & caring in spite of being CONSTANTLY WAY UNDERSTAFFED! Because of the staffing shortages, the wait times for a response when the resident calls for help can be ridiculously long. When the dining room was open, there were never enough staff there either and the wait time was always close to and sometimes more than an hour. The food is CONSISTENTLY AWFUL (think back to your old school cafeteria... yeah, that bad!) Frequently my grandmother makes a sandwich in her apartment because the food is burned, under cooked, too tough to chew, you get the idea. I WOULD NOT...REPEAT... NOT GO HERE. We have tried to convince grandmother to move but she doesn't want to go through the stress of moving again. I have complained several times to several different managers and all you get are excuses.

Response from Heritage Place Assisted Living and Memory Care
October 27, 2020Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Heritage Place, we strive to provide an exceptional living experience for our residents with chef-prepared meals, vibrant lifestyle events and a focus on overall wellness. We can also assure you that we have a full staff of support at this community including an Executive Director, Business Director, Lifestyle Director, Culinary Director, and Maintenance Director. We’d like the opportunity to discuss your experience more in depth with you. Please contact our Regional Director of Operations, Jesse Lee, at [removed] and he will be happy to have a conversation with you.
You can trust the people that work there that they are going to care for your loved one's needs. The staff go above and beyond.for the residents. If the family has any questions, they get you the information that you need. They have been proactive since COVID, I get letters and phone calls to keep me updated. I feel safe that they are taken care of of my mom because they have proven that they are. The food is great and my loves it and she is picky. They always find something that she likes. The work hard to accommodate her dietary restrictions as she is diabetic. I have recommended this community before and I will again.
