Memory Care
The community has good staff; however I feel they are understaffed currently. There has been some staff turnover since my loved one moved into the community. Due to the staffing challenges this can cause delays in waiting for meals, care, and more. [name removed] the Director is wonderful; however she seems overworked. [name removed] is also wonderful. [name removed] does a great job with the activities for the residents.
This facility is poorly run, poorly staffed and neglects the residents who are designated in the rehab section of the facility. I would never endorse this facility for any person. Your loved one will be hurt and his/her needs will not be satisfactorily met.
The past 60 days has been an overwhelming journey for our family as we navigated our parents hospitalizations, rehabilitations, moves from an independent living facility to assisted living at Country Meadows, and the eventual death of our father. It’s not an understatement to say that the staff at Country Meadows was outstanding every step of the way. The marketing team, the transportation drivers, the nursing staff, the kitchen personnel and maintenance staff are professional and kind in the way they interact with both residents and family. When it became clear that our father’s care needs were more at the level of a skilled nursing facility, [name removed] and [name removed] worked with us to come up with a plan combining private duty and hospice care to allow him to return to Country Meadows from the rehab facility. His last week of life was spent with his wife rather than alone in another new facility. Just a week later, our mother was ready to move to a single room, and once again, the staff were on hand to arrange everything. We are thankful to everyone who is a part of the team.

A town rich with local history and many historic sites to show for it, Mechanicsburg was originally founded in the 19th century by settlers who built and repaired covered wagons. This legacy is celebrated every New Year’s Eve when Mechanicsburg drops a wrench to remember all of the mechanics who have come before. Mechanicsburg is also famous for its Jubilee Day street fair, which runs for an entire day during the second week of June. Held on Market Street, which is home to a number of boutique shops and restaurants, it’s the region’s longest street fair and features food, games, crafts, and rides.
