We moved my brother to Wells Point Lodge in early April. Everything has gone so well. He seems happy here and no complaints. Originally he planned to have meals in his room but the first day they encouraged him to eat in the dining room and meet the other residents. Now he eats all his meals there unless he is not well. The staff is so friendly and upbeat especially [name removed] and [name removed]. I love the activities offered even though he doesn’t participate much. The family events are especially nice - like a barbecue in early May. Lots of the staff’s family come to help and it is well attended by the residents families too. I couldn’t be happier and it is such a relief to me that I don’t need to worry about him because he’s getting such good care
Brookdale Georgetown was a nice facility, but it needs serious updating. The staff was super nice, but the activities were slim to none. It is not a very big facility, though. It seemed like it was mostly religious and my loved one doesn't do religious stuff. It felt like more of a nursing home setting, my loved one was not ready for that. I cannot say anything about the meals, but my loved one said that they were good. Would I recommend it, yes. But only to somebody who is a lot less active than my loved one. It really needs to be updated.
Maintenance has been very slow to respond from what I have observed and heard from my loved one. Overall I would for sure recommend Affinity at South Park Meadows for active seniors.

Beginning in the 1880s, the community known as Cedar Park was a simple day-trip destination for residents of Austin who’d take the train north and stroll through a newly built park near the rural depot. Then, as planned communities began springing up in the 1950s, the suburb developed steadily and in proportion with the nearby Texas capital. By the mid-2010s, Greater Austin was firmly among the fastest-growing urban areas in the entire U.S., and Cedar Park today is a thriving suburban town attracting more families every year.

History buffs of any age could spend hours at the Texas Museum of Science and Technology — which features the Austin area’s first planetarium and a permanent collection of dinosaur bones and other fossils — before heading over to the Austin Steam Train Association for a timeless excursion on a vintage passenger train car into the surrounding Hill Country of Central Texas.
